برئاسة المملكة العربية السعودية ممثلةً برئيس الاتحاد رئيس المنتدى السعودي للإعلام محمد بن فهد الحارثي، انطلقت بالعاصمة التونسية، أمس، أعمال الدورة الـ45 للجمعية العامة لاتحاد إذاعات الدول العربية.
ونوّه الحارثي في كلمته خلال افتتاح أعمال الدورة بجهود الاتحاد في تعزيز التعاون المشترك بين المؤسسات الإعلامية الإقليمية والدولية لمواجهة التحديات الراهنة، خصوصاً التطورات التقنية التي تهم المجال السمعي البصري، تزامناً مع القفزات التي يحققها استخدام الذكاء الاصطناعي، وتحقيق الأهداف المشتركة التي تسهم في خدمة المجتمعات.
وشدّد على أن الإعلام اليوم يؤدي دوراً محوريّاً في تشكيل الرأي العام، مع ضرورة تطوير الصناعة الإعلامية من خلال تكثيف الدورات التدريبية لمواكبة أحدث التكنولوجيات، مستعرضاً المشاريع التي أنجزها الاتحاد منذ سنوات التي تسهم بشكل كبير في إعادة تشكيل الإعلام وفق عالم يتجدد ويتطور.
برامج ومشاريع
من جانبه أوضح المدير العام لاتحاد إذاعات الدول العربية المهندس عبدالرحيم سليمان في كلمته أن هذه الاجتماعات تمثل حدثاً بالغ الأهمية لتقييم حصيلة أنشطة الاتحاد خلال السنة الماضية في جميع المجالات، وتقديم تفاصيل أكثر عن البرامج والمشاريع قادمة.
من جهته نوّه وزير السياحة التونسي سفيان تقية، في كلمته خلال افتتاح الدورة بجهود الاتحاد وهيئاته الأعضاء في جعل الإعلام رافداً أساسيّاً لدعم السياحة وأداة للترويج للتنوع الثقافي، مشيراً إلى أن تتويج تونس عاصمة للسياحة العربية لعام 2027م يعد تتويجاً عربيّاً سيفتح آفاقاً واسعة للتعاون العربي المشترك في المجالين الإعلامي والسياحي.
واستعرض المشاركون في أعمال الدورة الـ45 للجمعية العامة نشاط الاتحاد للعام الماضي، مع مناقشة ما تم برمجته من فعاليات ونشاطات للعام الحالي.
Under the presidency of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the President of the Union and the President of the Saudi Media Forum, Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Harithi, the 45th session of the General Assembly of the Arab States Broadcasting Union commenced yesterday in the Tunisian capital.
Al-Harithi highlighted in his speech during the opening of the session the Union's efforts to enhance joint cooperation among regional and international media institutions to face current challenges, especially the technological developments relevant to the audiovisual field, coinciding with the leaps achieved in the use of artificial intelligence, and achieving common goals that contribute to serving communities.
He emphasized that the media today plays a pivotal role in shaping public opinion, stressing the necessity of developing the media industry by intensifying training courses to keep pace with the latest technologies, while reviewing the projects that the Union has accomplished over the years that significantly contribute to reshaping the media in accordance with a world that is renewing and evolving.
Programs and Projects
For his part, the Director General of the Arab States Broadcasting Union, Engineer Abdul Rahim Suleiman, explained in his speech that these meetings represent a highly significant event for evaluating the outcomes of the Union's activities over the past year in all fields, and providing more details about upcoming programs and projects.
For his part, Tunisian Minister of Tourism Sofiane Taqia noted in his speech during the opening of the session the efforts of the Union and its member bodies in making media a fundamental resource for supporting tourism and a tool for promoting cultural diversity, pointing out that Tunisia being crowned as the Arab Capital of Tourism for the year 2027 is an Arab recognition that will open wide horizons for joint Arab cooperation in the media and tourism fields.
The participants in the 45th session of the General Assembly reviewed the Union's activities for the past year, discussing the planned events and activities for the current year.
