The Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi reiterated his country's firm rejection of any threat to the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Arab states, emphasizing during a press conference with Slovenia's President Nataša Pirc Musar today (Tuesday) that Arab national security constitutes an indivisible unit, and that Egypt stands firmly alongside its brothers to ensure the stability of the region and safeguard the resources of its peoples.

The Egyptian President called on all parties involved in the escalating crisis between the United States and Iran to elevate the language of reason and provide sufficient space for understanding and political dialogue to reach peaceful solutions that end the state of tension.

El-Sisi warned of the dangers of slipping into military escalation at the present time, affirming that continuing down this path threatens the security and stability of the entire region with dire consequences, calling for prioritizing the political track and stopping the bloodshed before it is too late.

The Egyptian House of Representatives approved by a two-thirds majority the delegation of President El-Sisi to empower the armed forces to enhance defenses and provide military support to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and to protect Arab national security amid the escalating tensions in the region.

Just days ago, during a session of the Egypt 2026 Forum, the Egyptian President affirmed that Arab national security is indivisible, and that the stability of the Gulf brothers is linked to Egyptian national security, emphasizing that Egypt will defend the territory of any other Arab state if requested to do so.

He stated that Egypt's support for the Gulf states is a natural extension of the concept of shared Arab national security, affirming that Egyptian military action does not extend beyond the borders of Egypt or the borders of the brotherly states that Cairo is keen on securing and stabilizing.
