دشّن أمير المنطقة الشرقية الأمير سعود بن نايف بن عبدالعزيز، في ديوان الإمارة اليوم (الخميس)، مشاريع صناعية جديدة في المدن الصناعية الأولى والثانية بالدمام، وذلك بحضور وزير الصناعة والثروة المعدنية رئيس مجلس إدارة الهيئة السعودية للمدن الصناعية ومناطق التقنية (مدن)، بندر بن إبراهيم الخريف، والرئيس التنفيذي لـ«مدن» المهندس ماجد بن رافد العرقوبي.
وأشاد بالتطورات التي يشهدها القطاع الصناعي، مؤكدًا أن ما تحقق هو نتيجة ما يحظى به هذا القطاع من دعم من حكومة خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، ومتابعة واهتمام ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، منوّهًا بأن هذه المشاريع تتسق مع مستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030 في تنمية المحتوى المحلي، ورفع القدرة التنافسية للصناعة الوطنية، وتعزيز مكانة المنطقة الشرقية كمحور صناعي حيوي يسهم في التنمية الشاملة، ويُرسخ مكانة المملكة وريادتها في المجالات الصناعية والاقتصادية.
وشملت المشاريع تدشين مشروع المصانع متعددة الأدوار في المدينة الصناعية الأولى بالدمام، ويهدف إلى توفير بيئة صناعية محفزة داخل مبنى مكون من 8 طوابق يضم 78 وحدة صناعية، حيث يسهم المشروع في تمكين رواد ورائدات الأعمال وأصحاب المنشآت الصغيرة والمتوسطة، من خلال توفير مساحات صناعية متنوعة تراوح بين 156م² و251م²، مجهزة بأحدث التقنيات، إلى جانب خدمات استشارية وتدريبية متكاملة، ضمن بيئة مرنة تشجع على التوسع وتوليد قيمة صناعية مضافة.
كما دشن مشروع المصانع الجاهزة في المدينة الصناعية الثانية بالدمام، والذي يشمل إنشاء 84 وحدة بمساحات 700م² و1500م²، بإجمالي مسطحات يتجاوز 92 ألف متر مربع. ويُعد هذا المشروع نموذجًا داعمًا للصناعات الخفيفة، ويتيح فرصًا واعدة لرواد الأعمال والمستثمرين في مجالات الصناعات الغذائية والطبية والدوائية والكهربائية والإلكترونية، إلى جانب تقنيات الطباعة ثلاثية الأبعاد.
وألقى الرئيس التنفيذي للهيئة السعودية للمدن الصناعية ومناطق التقنية كلمة استعرض فيها أبرز المنجزات التي يشهدها القطاع الصناعي في المنطقة الشرقية، والتحول النوعي في تطوير المدن الصناعية من خلال مشاريع استراتيجية تركز على تعزيز الجذب الاستثماري، ورفع كفاءة البنية التحتية، وتبني حلول تقنية متقدمة تسهم في تحقيق التكامل بين الابتكار والإنتاج الصناعي، بما يعزز مستويات الكفاءة التشغيلية ضمن بيئة صناعية مستدامة.
وأوضح أن المنطقة الشرقية تحتضن 6 مدن صناعية تحت إشراف الهيئة السعودية للمدن الصناعية ومناطق التقنية (مدن)، بمساحات تتجاوز 40 مليون متر مربع من الأراضي المطورة، وتضم ما يزيد على 1,850 منشأة صناعية ولوجستية واستثمارية، بنسبة إشغال تتجاوز 89%، ما يعكس حيوية القطاع الصناعي في المنطقة، ويدعم ريادة الأعمال، ويسهم في رفع معدلات التصدير عبر البوابة الشرقية للمملكة.
وفي إطار تعزيز التكامل بين الجهات الوطنية ودعم التنمية الصناعية واللوجستية المستدامة، شهد أمير المنطقة الشرقية توقيع مذكرة تفاهم بين «مدن» وأمانة المنطقة الشرقية، تهدف إلى تعزيز التعاون التنظيمي والاستثماري وتهيئة بيئة صناعية متكاملة وجاذبة للمستثمرين، حيث شملت المذكرة التنسيق المشترك لدراسة تنظيم الأراضي الصناعية التابعة للأمانة أو الخاضعة لإشرافها، وكذلك الأراضي التابعة للقطاع الخاص، بما يضمن توافقها مع السياسات المعتمدة لدى وزارة الصناعة والثروة المعدنية، إضافة إلى تنسيق الجهود لتنظيم المدن الصناعية والمجمعات الخاصة الواقعة تحت إشراف «مدن»، ووضع أطر تنظيمية موحدة تسهم في تسهيل رحلة المستثمر ومواكبة تطلعاته.
وفي ختام الحفل، قدّم وزير الصناعة والثروة المعدنية هدية تذكارية لأمير المنطقة الشرقية.
The Prince of the Eastern Province, Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, inaugurated today (Thursday) new industrial projects in the first and second industrial cities in Dammam, in the presence of the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON), Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, and the CEO of MODON, Engineer Majid bin Rafeed Al-Arqoubi.
He praised the developments witnessed in the industrial sector, affirming that what has been achieved is the result of the support this sector receives from the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and the follow-up and interest of the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz. He noted that these projects align with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in developing local content, enhancing the competitiveness of the national industry, and strengthening the position of the Eastern Province as a vital industrial hub that contributes to comprehensive development, solidifying the Kingdom's status and leadership in industrial and economic fields.
The projects included the inauguration of the multi-story factories project in the first industrial city in Dammam, which aims to provide a stimulating industrial environment within a building consisting of 8 floors that includes 78 industrial units. The project contributes to empowering entrepreneurs and owners of small and medium enterprises by providing diverse industrial spaces ranging from 156 m² to 251 m², equipped with the latest technologies, in addition to comprehensive consulting and training services, within a flexible environment that encourages expansion and generates added industrial value.
Additionally, the ready-made factories project in the second industrial city in Dammam was inaugurated, which includes the establishment of 84 units with areas of 700 m² and 1500 m², with a total area exceeding 92,000 square meters. This project is a supportive model for light industries and offers promising opportunities for entrepreneurs and investors in the fields of food, medical, pharmaceutical, electrical, and electronic industries, as well as 3D printing technologies.
The CEO of the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones delivered a speech in which he reviewed the most significant achievements in the industrial sector in the Eastern Province, and the qualitative transformation in developing industrial cities through strategic projects that focus on enhancing investment attraction, improving infrastructure efficiency, and adopting advanced technological solutions that contribute to achieving integration between innovation and industrial production, thereby enhancing operational efficiency levels within a sustainable industrial environment.
He explained that the Eastern Province hosts 6 industrial cities under the supervision of the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON), with developed land areas exceeding 40 million square meters, and includes more than 1,850 industrial, logistical, and investment facilities, with an occupancy rate exceeding 89%, reflecting the vitality of the industrial sector in the region, supporting entrepreneurship, and contributing to increasing export rates through the eastern gateway of the Kingdom.
As part of enhancing integration between national entities and supporting sustainable industrial and logistical development, the Prince of the Eastern Province witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between MODON and the Eastern Province Municipality, aimed at enhancing organizational and investment cooperation and preparing an integrated industrial environment attractive to investors. The memorandum included joint coordination to study the organization of industrial lands belonging to the municipality or under its supervision, as well as lands belonging to the private sector, ensuring their compliance with the policies approved by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, in addition to coordinating efforts to organize industrial cities and private complexes under MODON's supervision, and establishing unified regulatory frameworks that facilitate the investor's journey and meet their aspirations.
At the end of the ceremony, the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources presented a commemorative gift to the Prince of the Eastern Province.
