أعلنت مصر اليوم، أن المرحلة الأولى من مشروع الربط الكهربائي مع السعودية ستنطلق بقدرة 1500 ميغاوات.
وقال وزير الكهرباء والطاقة المتجددة محمود عصمت إن مشروع الربط الكهربائي بين مصر والسعودية سيلعب دوراً مهماً في استقرار الشبكة القومية للكهرباء خلال الصيف القادم.
وأشار الوزير إلى أنه سيتم إطلاق التيار الكهربائي بالمرحلة الأولى من المشروع بقدرة 1500 ميغاوات، الأمر الذي سيدعم الخطة العاجلة لتأمين صيف 2026.
جاء ذلك خلال اجتماع الرئيس عبدالفتاح السيسي، اليوم، مع رئيس مجلس الوزراء الدكتور مصطفى مدبولي، ووزير الكهرباء والطاقة المُتجددة محمود عصمت، للاطلاع على خطة وزارة الكهرباء والطاقة المتجددة لتأمين التغذية الكهربائية للمواطنين خلال أشهر الصيف القادم، لمجابهة الارتفاع في معدلات الاستهلاك المتزايد على الشبكة القومية للكهرباء، وفق المتحدث باسم الرئاسة محمد الشناوي.
زيادة متوقعة
وأضاف وزير الكهرباء المصري، خلال اللقاء، أن هناك زيادة متوقعة في الأحمال على الشبكة القومية للكهرباء تراوح ما بين 6 إلى 7% خلال أشهر الصيف القادم، وبالتالي فمن المخطط أن تتم إضافة 3 آلاف ميغاوات من الطاقة الشمسية خلال العام الحالي، مع إضافة قدرات جديدة بنظام بطاريات التخزين قبل الصيف بإجمالي 600 ميغاوات، ليصبح إجمالي القدرات المتاحة على الشبكة بهذه التكنولوجيا 1100 ميغاوات.
Egypt announced today that the first phase of the electricity interconnection project with Saudi Arabia will launch with a capacity of 1500 megawatts.
Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mahmoud Asmat stated that the electricity interconnection project between Egypt and Saudi Arabia will play an important role in stabilizing the national electricity grid during the upcoming summer.
The minister indicated that the electricity flow in the first phase of the project will be launched with a capacity of 1500 megawatts, which will support the urgent plan to secure the summer of 2026.
This came during a meeting today between President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, and Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mahmoud Asmat, to review the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy's plan to secure electricity supply for citizens during the upcoming summer months, in response to the rising consumption rates on the national electricity grid, according to presidential spokesperson Mohamed El-Shenawy.
Expected Increase
The Egyptian Minister of Electricity added during the meeting that there is an expected increase in loads on the national electricity grid ranging between 6 to 7% during the upcoming summer months. Therefore, it is planned to add 3000 megawatts of solar energy during this year, along with new storage battery capacities before summer totaling 600 megawatts, bringing the total available capacities on the grid with this technology to 1100 megawatts.
