توقع مكتب الميزانية في الكونغرس الأمريكي ارتفاع عجز الموازنة الأمريكية خلال السنة المالية 2026 إلى نحو 1.853 تريليون دولار، مقارنة بعجز يُقدَّر بـ1.775 تريليون دولار في 2025.
وذكر المكتب، في تقرير اليوم، أن العجز المتوقع للعام المالي الحالي سيعادل نحو 5.8% من الناتج المحلي الإجمالي، على أن يبلغ في المتوسط 6.1% خلال العقد القادم، ليرتفع إلى 6.7% بحلول 2036.
إيرادات إضافية
وبحسب التقرير، فإن العجز المتوقع يزيد بنحو 100 مليار دولار عن تقديرات يناير 2025، كما رفع المكتب توقعاته للعجز التراكمي خلال الفترة 2026-2035 بنحو 1.4 تريليون دولار؛ بسبب تخفيضات إدارة الرئيس دونالد ترمب الضريبية.
وأضاف المكتب أن الإيرادات الإضافية من تعريفات ترمب الجمركية ستساهم في خفض العجز بمقدار 3 تريليونات دولار على مدى عقد، مع احتساب الآثار الاقتصادية وتراجع مدفوعات الفائدة.
The Congressional Budget Office has projected that the U.S. budget deficit will rise to approximately $1.853 trillion during the fiscal year 2026, compared to an estimated deficit of $1.775 trillion in 2025.
The office noted in a report today that the expected deficit for the current fiscal year will equal about 5.8% of the gross domestic product, averaging 6.1% over the next decade, and rising to 6.7% by 2036.
Additional Revenues
According to the report, the expected deficit is about $100 billion higher than the estimates from January 2025, and the office has raised its projections for the cumulative deficit during the period 2026-2035 by approximately $1.4 trillion due to tax cuts implemented by President Donald Trump's administration.
The office added that additional revenues from Trump's tariffs will contribute to reducing the deficit by $3 trillion over the next decade, accounting for economic effects and a decline in interest payments.
