تراجعت أسعار الذهب، اليوم، بعدما سجلت أعلى مستوى في أسبوع تقريبًا، بعد انقسام مجلس الاحتياطي الاتحادي (البنك المركزي الأمريكي) بشأن قراره خفض أسعار الفائدة مما جعل المستثمرين غير متيقنين من وتيرة التيسير النقدي العام القادم، بينما سجلت الفضة مستوى قياسيًا مرتفعًا آخر.
وهبط الذهب في المعاملات الفورية بنسبة (0.2%) إلى (4221.49) دولار للأوقية، وارتفعت العقود الأمريكية الآجلة للذهب (0.6%) إلى (4249.70) دولار للأوقية.
وبالنسبة للمعادن النفيسة الأخرى، ارتفعت الفضة في المعاملات الفورية بنسبة (0.8%) إلى (62.25) دولار للأوقية، وصعد البلاتين (0.3%) إلى (1660.50) دولار، بينما انخفض البلاديوم (0.2%) إلى (1479.70) دولار.
Gold prices fell today after reaching their highest level in almost a week, following a split in the Federal Reserve (the U.S. central bank) regarding its decision to cut interest rates, which left investors uncertain about the pace of monetary easing next year, while silver recorded another record high.
Gold dropped in spot transactions by (0.2%) to (4221.49) dollars per ounce, while U.S. gold futures rose (0.6%) to (4249.70) dollars per ounce.
As for other precious metals, silver rose in spot transactions by (0.8%) to (62.25) dollars per ounce, platinum increased (0.3%) to (1660.50) dollars, while palladium fell (0.2%) to (1479.70) dollars.
