أعلن وزير الخزانة والمالية التركي محمد شيمشك أن عملية خفض معدل التضخم في البلاد تسير على المسار الصحيح، وأن عجز الميزانية الحالي عند مستوى معقول للغاية.
جاء ذلك في كلمة خلال الاجتماع السنوي لأعضاء معهد «التمويل الدولي» على هامش اجتماعات لمجموعة العشرين، وصندوق النقد الدولي، والبنك الدولي في واشنطن.
التضخم يتراجع
وأكد شيمشك أن البرنامج الاقتصادي الذي تتّبعه الحكومة التركية بدأ يعطي ثماره، موضحاً أن التضخم يتراجع، وأن هناك تقدماً في الجبهة المالية وتحسناً في مستوى التوازن الخارجي.
وقال شيمشك: «بوجه عام، عملية خفض التضخم تسير على المسار الصحيح، وعجز الميزانية وفقاً للمعايير الدولية عند مستوى معقول للغاية، والاختلالات الخارجية تم تجاوزها إلى حد كبير».
وأشار شيمشك إلى ضرورة تنفيذ مزيد من الإصلاحات الهيكلية للاستمرار بهذا المسار، معرباً عن أمله في إنهاء العام القادم بنسبة تضخم فوق 10% بقليل، والعام الذي يليه بأرقام أحادية.
Turkish Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek announced that the process of reducing the inflation rate in the country is on the right track, and that the current budget deficit is at a very reasonable level.
This was stated in a speech during the annual meeting of members of the "Institute of International Finance" on the sidelines of the G20, International Monetary Fund, and World Bank meetings in Washington.
Inflation is Declining
Şimşek confirmed that the economic program followed by the Turkish government has started to bear fruit, explaining that inflation is declining, and there is progress on the financial front and an improvement in the level of external balance.
Şimşek said: "Overall, the process of reducing inflation is on the right track, and the budget deficit according to international standards is at a very reasonable level, and external imbalances have been largely overcome."
Şimşek pointed out the necessity of implementing further structural reforms to continue on this path, expressing hope to end the next year with an inflation rate just above 10%, and the following year with single-digit figures.
