أعلنت الحكومة الهندية الإثنين أن حوالي 55% من صادرات الهند من السلع إلى الولايات المتحدة ستخضع للرسوم الجمركية التي فرضتها إدارة الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب.
وأوضح ممثل وزارة المالية خلال جلسة برلمانية، أن الحكومة الهندية أخذت في الحسبان الرسوم المفروضة سابقًا بنسبة 25%، مضيفًا أن وزارة التجارة تجري حاليًا محادثات مع مختلف الأطراف المعنية من مصدّرين وصناعيين لجمع تقييماتهم حول تأثير الرسوم الإضافية.
يأتي هذا بعدما فرض ترمب الأسبوع الماضي، رسومًا جمركية إضافية بنسبة 25% على السلع الهندية بسبب مشتريات نيودلهي من النفط الروسي، وقد رفع ذلك إجمالي الرسوم الجمركية على الصادرات الهندية إلى الولايات المتحدة إلى 50%.
وتعد الولايات المتحدة والهند من أكبر الاقتصادات في العالم، حيث بلغت قيمة التجارة الثنائية حوالي 87 مليار دولار في العام المالي الأخير، ومع تزايد التعريفات الجمركية، يتوقع أن تتأثر حركة التبادل التجاري وسط مخاوف من تصاعد التوترات التجارية التي قد تؤثر على النمو الاقتصادي في كلا البلدين.

The Indian government announced on Monday that about 55% of India's goods exports to the United States will be subject to the tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump's administration.
A representative from the Ministry of Finance clarified during a parliamentary session that the Indian government has taken into account the previously imposed 25% tariffs, adding that the Ministry of Commerce is currently in talks with various stakeholders, including exporters and industrialists, to gather their assessments regarding the impact of the additional tariffs.
This comes after Trump imposed an additional 25% tariff on Indian goods last week due to New Delhi's purchases of Russian oil, raising the total tariffs on Indian exports to the United States to 50%.
The United States and India are among the largest economies in the world, with the value of bilateral trade reaching approximately $87 billion in the last fiscal year. With increasing tariffs, it is expected that trade flows will be affected amid concerns over escalating trade tensions that could impact economic growth in both countries.
