يصل الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، مساء اليوم (الثلاثاء)، إلى بريطانيا في زيارة دولة ثانية، يُنتظر أن تشهد الإعلان عن صفقات استثمارية تتجاوز قيمتها 10 مليارات دولار، في إطار تعزيز «العلاقة الخاصة» بين البلدين.
وسبق الزيارة إعلان وزير الخزانة الأمريكي سكوت بيسنت ووزيرة المالية البريطانية ريتشل ريفز عن تشكيل فريق عمل عبر الأطلسي لتعزيز التعاون بين المراكز المالية. كما سيحضرها عدد من كبار رجال الأعمال، بينهم الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة إنفيديا جنسن هوانغ وسام ألتمان من «أوبن إيه آي».
وجهة جاذبة
ويأمل رئيس الوزراء البريطاني كير ستارمر أن تسهم هذه الزيارة في تقديم بلاده وجهة جاذبة للاستثمار الأمريكي، خصوصًا في مجالات التكنولوجيا والطاقة والخدمات المالية، وسط توقعات بخلق نحو 1800 وظيفة جديدة.
ويستقبل الملك تشارلز ترمب وزوجته ميلانيا غدًا (الأربعاء) بمراسم ملكية رسمية في قلعة وندسور، تشمل عرضًا جويًا وتحيات مدفعية، قبل أن يلتقيه ستارمر في قصر «تشيكرز» لبحث قضايا الاستثمار والتجارة، إضافة إلى الملفات الدولية وعلى رأسها الحرب في أوكرانيا والوضع في غزة.
U.S. President Donald Trump arrives in Britain this evening (Tuesday) for his second state visit, during which investment deals worth over $10 billion are expected to be announced, as part of strengthening the "special relationship" between the two countries.
Prior to the visit, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Pruitt and British Finance Minister Rachel Reeves announced the formation of a transatlantic working group to enhance cooperation between financial centers. Several prominent business leaders will also attend, including NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang and Sam Altman from OpenAI.
Attractive Destination
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer hopes that this visit will help present his country as an attractive destination for American investment, particularly in the fields of technology, energy, and financial services, amid expectations of creating around 1,800 new jobs.
King Charles will welcome Trump and his wife Melania tomorrow (Wednesday) with an official royal ceremony at Windsor Castle, including an aerial display and gun salutes, before Starmer meets him at Chequers to discuss investment and trade issues, as well as international matters, primarily the war in Ukraine and the situation in Gaza.
