تدخل الرسوم الجديدة للتأشيرات التي فرضتها الولايات المتحدة على الزوار (250 دولاراً) حيز التنفيذ في الأول من أكتوبر القادم.
وستؤدي هذه الرسوم إلى رفع تكلفة التأشيرة إلى 442 دولاراً، ما يهدد بزيادة الضغط على قطاع السفر إلى الولايات المتحدة.
وتراجع السفر من الخارج إلى الولايات المتحدة بنسبة 3.1% في يوليو ليصل إلى 19.2 مليون زائر على أساس سنوي.
كما من المتوقع أن ينخفض إنفاق الزوار الدوليين في الولايات المتحدة إلى أقل من 169 مليار دولار هذا العام، مقارنة بـ181 مليار دولار في 2024، وفقاً لمجلس السفر والسياحة العالمي.
يذكر أن الإدارة الأمريكية أعلنت في بداية أغسطس الجاري أنها ستبدأ بطلب ضمانات تصل إلى 15 ألف دولار لبعض تأشيرات السياحة والعمل في إطار برنامج تجريبي يستمر لمدة عام تقريباً.
ووفقاً لإحصاءات وزارة الخارجية الأمريكية، أصدرت الولايات المتحدة ما يقرب من 11 مليون تأشيرة لغير المهاجرين خلال السنة المالية 2024.
أما بالنسبة للسياح والمسافرين لأغراض العمل من الدول المشاركة في برنامج الإعفاء من التأشيرة، مثل أستراليا والعديد من الدول الأوروبية، فلا يُطلب منهم الحصول على تأشيرات للإقامة لمدة 90 يوماً أو أقل.
وسيتعين دفع الرسم عند إصدار التأشيرات، ولن تكون هناك إعفاءات من هذا الرسم، بحسب البند، ويمكن للمسافرين الذين يلتزمون بشروط تأشيرتهم استرداد الرسم بعد انتهاء رحلتهم.
