بعد ساعات من إلغائها.. أعادت محكمة استئناف اتحادية أمريكية، الخميس، فرض الرسوم الجمركية الشاملة التي فرضها الرئيس دونالد ترمب، بعد يوم من حكم محكمة تجارية بوقف تنفيذها بأثر فوري، قائلة: إن ترامب تجاوز سلطته بإصدار هذه الرسوم.
ولم يقدم قرار دائرة محكمة الاستئناف الاتحادية في واشنطن أي رأي أو تعليل، وإنما وجّه المدعين في القضية باتخاذ إجراء بحلول الخامس من يونيو، والإدارة الأمريكية بحلول التاسع منه.
وكان الحكم المفاجئ الصادر عن محكمة التجارة الدولية الأمريكية الأربعاء قد هدد بإلغاء الرسوم أو على الأقل تأجيل فرضها على معظم شركاء الولايات المتحدة التجاريين، بالإضافة إلى رسوم الاستيراد على السلع من كندا والمكسيك والصين، والمتعلقة باتهامه الدول الثلاث بتسهيل تدفق الفنتانيل إلى الولايات المتحدة.
Hours after its cancellation, a U.S. federal appeals court reinstated the comprehensive tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump on Thursday, a day after a trade court ruled to halt their implementation immediately, stating that Trump exceeded his authority by issuing these tariffs.
The decision from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington did not provide any opinion or justification, but directed the plaintiffs in the case to take action by June 5, and the U.S. administration by the ninth.
The surprising ruling from the U.S. International Trade Court on Wednesday threatened to cancel the tariffs or at least delay their imposition on most of the United States' trading partners, in addition to import tariffs on goods from Canada, Mexico, and China, related to accusations against the three countries of facilitating the flow of fentanyl into the United States.
