Random Sniping
On his usual path, he passes despairingly through the square of oppression, a sharp silence tearing between his teeth. He sees a stone on the ground, appearing to him as solid and idle, devoid of purpose. He gazes at it intensely, and the stone seems to remain fixed in place, as if challenging him or tempting him to reconsider!
He reaches out a hand, grips it tightly, and throws it with all his strength without aiming, landing resoundingly on the nearest capital! He didn’t know what happened to the unintended target! But, he was surprised by feet kicking and trampling him, and hands carrying him away in any manner possible. As he was dragged away, he glimpsed dozens rescuing the capital, treating it while cursing and lamenting for it; he saw no harm except for what resembled cold blood oozing from a head filled with numbers.
They released him after a few days and allowed him to return the same way, so he walked again, burdened with emotion. He didn’t recognize the place well, but he saw many stones, so he turned his back on them and continued on his way.
Branches
When he traveled to (there) to finalize the separation procedures, without prior booking for accommodation, he settled in the nearest location, dragging his suitcase without the help of workers, rented a room, and slept to rest.
The next morning after his arrival, he left the Green Branches Hotel, arrived at the scheduled time, everything was completed, and he exited the house of justice.
In the street, he saw municipal workers gathering freshly cut branches, throwing them into a service vehicle to take them far away.
He got into his rented car and drove through the streets of a city that devours everything, gathering his memory to map out the return to the hotel, even if by another route.
While he was driving slowly, he didn’t fasten his seatbelt and allowed the air to enter through the car window. He heard debris like things collapsing, and he caught the sounds of birds fluttering anxiously, and others singing sadly.
The city is busy with a new day, and behind him in the mirror, the things and birds that lost their nests this morning are receding.
