علقت الفنانة المصرية مي عمر على إعلان زوجها، المخرج محمد سامي، اعتزاله الإخراج الدرامي قبل أن يعود ويتراجع بعد شهور عن القرار، موضحة سبب قراره الأخير.
سبب القرار
وقالت مي عمر خلال ندوة بمهرجان البحر الأحمر السينمائي، إن سامي بعد تقديمه لمسلسلي «سيد الناس» و«إش إش»، قرر أخذ استراحة لإعادة شحن طاقته وتحقيق طموحات أخرى يحبها.
وأكدت مي عمر أنها كانت واثقة من أن زوجها لن يستطيع الابتعاد عن الفن، مشيرة إلى أن موهبته الفنية لا يمكن أن تحبس أو توقف وأن موهبته ستعيده دائمًا إلى عالم الإخراج، وهو ما تحقق بالفعل.

فكرة غير مطروحة
وأوضحت مي عمر أن فكرة الاعتزال غير مطروحة في قاموس زوجها المخرج محمد سامي، مشيرة إلى أن موهبته الكبيرة والفطرية تمنعه من التوقف عن العمل أو التفكير في الابتعاد.
الوصول للعالمية
وتطرقت مي في الحديث عن حبها وشغفها في تكرارها بالتعاون مع زوجها محمد سامي،
معربة عن حبها في العمل معه وذكرت أنها التقطت في بداية زواجهما صورة وهي تحمل تمثال أوسكار بلاستيكي، تعبيرًا عن أحلامهما المشتركة بالوصول إلى العالمية.
