دشنت الإعلامية الأكاديمية الكاتبة الروائية سعاد عسيري روايتها الأولى التي تحمل عنوان «نبية وبيوت الموت» بركن المؤلف السعودي في معرض جدة للكتاب، وسط الأصدقاء والكتاب والمثقفين الذين شاركوها توقيع الرواية بمنصة التوقيع بركن المؤلف السعودي.
الرواية دراما اجتماعية تحكي قصة فتاة جنوبية من مصح عقلي. وأكدت العسيري أن معرض الكتاب الذي تنظمة هيئة الأدب والنشر، بالتعاون مع وزارة الثقافة، يعتبر نافذة لحراك ثقافي وتواصل فعال مهم لأنه منصة ثقافية رئيسية لنشر المعرفة، تعزز القراءة، وتجمع القراء بالمؤلفين والناشرين، وتتيح فرصة للتعرف على الجديد وتنوع الأفكار والثقافات وتوفر تجربة اجتماعية فريدة لتطوير الذات والتواصل بين الكتاب ودور النشر.
وقالت العسيري إن ركن المؤلف السعودي قد ساهم في مساعدة الكتّاب ونشر مؤلفاتهم الأدبية والثقافية إذ لم تكن دور النشر مشاركة في المعرض وهي تشكرهم على المساهمة الطيبة للكاتب السعودي.
وتعتبر العسيري إعلامية أكاديمية، لها حضورها في الصحافة السعودية والعربية، وعدد من الإصدارات القصصية التي أثرت مكتبة القصة القصيرة، كان آخرها رواية «نبية وبيوت الموت»، إلى جانب أنها فنانة تشكيلية لها حضور فني جميل.
The academic media figure and novelist Suad Al-Asiri launched her first novel titled "Nabiya and the Houses of Death" at the Saudi Author's Corner in the Jeddah Book Fair, surrounded by friends, writers, and intellectuals who joined her for the book signing at the Saudi Author's Corner.
The novel is a social drama that tells the story of a southern girl from a mental health facility. Al-Asiri emphasized that the book fair, organized by the Literature and Publishing Authority in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, serves as a window for cultural movement and effective communication, as it is a main cultural platform for spreading knowledge, enhancing reading, bringing readers together with authors and publishers, and providing an opportunity to discover new ideas and cultures while offering a unique social experience for personal development and communication between writers and publishing houses.
Al-Asiri stated that the Saudi Author's Corner has contributed to helping writers publish their literary and cultural works, especially since publishing houses were not participating in the fair, and she thanked them for their generous contribution to Saudi authors.
Al-Asiri is an academic media figure with a presence in Saudi and Arab journalism, along with several short story publications that have enriched the short story library, the latest of which is the novel "Nabiya and the Houses of Death." Additionally, she is a visual artist with a beautiful artistic presence.
