تشارك هيئة الأفلام في مهرجان تورونتو السينمائي الدولي الذي يقام في الفترة من 4 حتى 14 سبتمبر 2025م، ويُعد أحد أبرز المهرجانات السينمائية على مستوى العالم، ويستقطب نخبة من صنّاع الأفلام والنقاد والجمهور من مختلف الدول.
وتأتي هذه المشاركة استمراراً لجهود الهيئة في ترسيخ مكانة المملكة وجهة رائدة في صناعة الأفلام، ولتسليط الضوء على الإمكانات التي تتمتع بها في هذا القطاع الإبداعي.
وتشمل مشاركة الهيئة هذا العام جناحاً مخصصاً يعرض أحدث المشاريع والمبادرات السينمائية السعودية، وإتاحة الفرصة لزوار المهرجان للتعرف على فرص الإنتاج والتوزيع في المملكة.
ويضم الوفد المشارك تمثيلاً رسمياً من هيئة الأفلام وعدداً من صناع الأفلام السعوديين، بما يعزز حضور المملكة في فعاليات المهرجان وبرامجه المختلفة.
وتهدف المشاركة إلى الترويج لمواقع التصوير في المملكة، وزيادة فرص التعاون والإنتاج المشترك، والتوسع في توزيع الأفلام السعودية في الأسواق الدولية، إضافة إلى إبراز البرامج والمشاريع التي تنفذها هيئة الأفلام لدعم المواهب المحلية.
وسيشهد المهرجان العرض العالمي الأول لفيلم «المجهولة» المدعوم من برنامج ضوء لدعم الأفلام التابع لهيئة الأفلام، الذي يأتي انطلاقاً من اهتمام الهيئة بتعزيز الإنتاج المحلي في المملكة، ودعم المواهب الوطنية عن طريق تقديم الدعم النقدي غير المسترد لشركات ومؤسسات الإنتاج السينمائي لصناعة محتوى محلي إبداعي.
وتأتي هذه المشاركة جزءاً من إستراتيجية هيئة الأفلام لتعزيز الحضور السعودي في المحافل السينمائية العالمية، ودعم صناعة الأفلام المحلية، وإبراز المملكة وجهة جاذبة للإنتاج السينمائي بما يتماشى مع أهداف رؤية المملكة 2030.
The Film Authority participates in the Toronto International Film Festival, which takes place from September 4 to 14, 2025, and is considered one of the most prominent film festivals in the world, attracting a select group of filmmakers, critics, and audiences from various countries.
This participation continues the Authority's efforts to establish the Kingdom's position as a leading destination in the film industry and to highlight the potential it possesses in this creative sector.
This year, the Authority's participation includes a dedicated pavilion showcasing the latest Saudi cinematic projects and initiatives, providing festival visitors the opportunity to learn about production and distribution opportunities in the Kingdom.
The participating delegation includes official representation from the Film Authority and several Saudi filmmakers, enhancing the Kingdom's presence in the festival's various events and programs.
The aim of the participation is to promote filming locations in the Kingdom, increase opportunities for collaboration and co-production, and expand the distribution of Saudi films in international markets, in addition to showcasing the programs and projects implemented by the Film Authority to support local talents.
The festival will witness the world premiere of the film "The Unknown," supported by the Light Program for Film Support affiliated with the Film Authority, which stems from the Authority's interest in enhancing local production in the Kingdom and supporting national talents by providing non-repayable financial support to film production companies and institutions to create innovative local content.
This participation is part of the Film Authority's strategy to enhance Saudi presence in global film events, support local film production, and highlight the Kingdom as an attractive destination for film production in line with the goals of Vision 2030.
