أعلن معهد الفيلم الأمريكي اختيار النجم الهوليوودي توم كروز للفوز بالنسخة الـ52 من جائزة الإنجاز مدى الحياة، تتويجاً لمسيرته الفريدة الحافلة بالنجاح والتأثير في صناعة السينما.
وذكر المعهد عبر حسابه الرسمي على «إكس»: «يفخر معهد الفيلم الأمريكي باختيار توم كروز ليكون الحائز على جائزة الإنجاز مدى الحياة في نسختها الثانية والخمسين».
موهبة استثنائية
وتُمنح هذه الجائزة سنوياً لشخصية واحدةً تقديراً لموهبتها الاستثنائية وإسهاماتها المؤثرة في تطوير الفنون السينمائية، إلى جانب ما تحققه من تقدير واسعاً لدى النقاد والباحثين وزملاء المهنة والجمهور.
أيقونة عالمية
وأعربت رئيسة مجلس أمناء معهد الفيلم الأمريكي كاثلين كينيدي، عن إعجابها بمسيرة توم كروز والتزامه الكبير بعمله، مؤكدةً أن إيمانه بقوة السينما وقدرتها على جمع الناس يشكّل أحد أبرز أسباب تميّزه.
وقالت: «يعد كروز أيقونة عالمية، سواء بصفته ممثلاً أو منتجاً»، مشيرةً إلى تمتعه بشغف استثنائي تجاه كل ما يقدمه، وأن حبه للأفلام جعله سفيراً بارزاً للسينما الأمريكية حول العالم.
وأضافت: منح كروز هذه الجائزة يُعدّ شرفاً للمعهد، في تقدير لمسيرته التي تجاوز تأثيرها حدود هوليوود لتصل إلى جماهير السينما في مختلف أنحاء العالم.
13 مليار دولار
وعلى مدار مسيرته الفنية، رسّخ توم كروز مكانته كواحد من أهم نجوم شباك التذاكر، إذ حققت أفلامه إيرادات عالمية إجمالية تقارب 13 مليار دولار، إلى جانب نجاحات نقدية وجوائز وترشيحات مرموقة.
وتضم قائمة أبرز أعماله أفلاماً أصبحت علامات فارقة في تاريخ السينما، من بينها Risky Business وTop Gun وMinority Report وInterview with the Vampire وA Few Good Men وThe Firm، إضافة إلى سلسلة أفلام Mission: Impossible التي ارتبط اسمه بها على مدار سنوات طويلة.

4 ترشيحات للأوسكار
حصد توم كروز أربعة ترشيحات لجوائز الأوسكار خلال مسيرته، توزعت بين التمثيل والإنتاج.
وجاءت ترشيحاته التمثيلية الأولى عن فئة أفضل ممثل عن دوره في فيلم Born on the Fourth of July، ثم عن أدائه في فيلم Jerry Maguire، قبل أن يحصل على ترشيح أفضل ممثل مساعد عن فيلم Magnolia.
كما نال ترشيحاً لجائزة أفضل فيلم بصفته أحد منتجي فيلم Top Gun: Maverick، الذي حقق نجاحاً تجارياً كبيراً وأعاد سلسلة Top Gun إلى صدارة المشهد السينمائي العالمي.

This award is given annually to one individual in recognition of their exceptional talent and impactful contributions to the development of cinematic arts, alongside the wide acclaim they receive from critics, scholars, peers, and audiences.
Global Icon
Kathleen Kennedy, Chair of the Board of Trustees of the American Film Institute, expressed her admiration for Tom Cruise's career and his significant commitment to his work, emphasizing that his belief in the power of cinema and its ability to bring people together is one of the main reasons for his distinction.
She said: "Cruise is a global icon, both as an actor and a producer," pointing out his exceptional passion for everything he presents, and that his love for films has made him a prominent ambassador for American cinema around the world.
She added: Awarding Cruise this prize is an honor for the Institute, in appreciation of a career whose impact has transcended the borders of Hollywood to reach cinema audiences worldwide.
