نجح عامل توصيل طلبات صيني في حصد واحدة من أرفع الجوائز الأدبية في بلاده، بعدما تحولت قصائد كان يكتبها بين رحلات العمل إلى عمل أدبي حاز إشادة واسعة، وفقاً لما أوردته هيئة الإذاعة البريطانية (بي بي سي).
التحليق المنخفض
وفاز وانغ جيبينغ (56 عاماً) بجائزة لو شون الأدبية عن مجموعته الشعرية «التحليق المنخفض»، وهي جائزة تحمل اسم الكاتب لو شون، الذي يُعد الأب الروحي للأدب الصيني الحديث.
بدأ وانغ العمل في توصيل الطلبات في 2019، بعد سنوات طويلة تنقل خلالها بين مهن شاقة، شملت العمل في البناء، وجمع النفايات القابلة لإعادة التدوير، والبيع في الأسواق، بعدما اضطر إلى ترك الدراسة في سن مبكرة بسبب الظروف المادية لعائلته.
ورغم صعوبة حياته، لم يتخلَّ عن شغفه بالقراءة والكتابة، وظل ينشر قصائده ومقالاته عبر منصات التواصل الاجتماعي حتى لفت الأنظار.
رجل على عجلة
وفي 2022، حققت قصيدته «رجل على عجلة» انتشاراً واسعاً، بعدما استلهمها من تجربة مرهقة عاشها أثناء توصيل طلب إلى عنوان خاطئ، وهو ما دفعه لقضاء ساعات في محاولة الوصول إلى الزبون. وفي 2023 أصدر أول دواوينه بعنوان «رجل على عجلة.. قصائد عامل توصيل طلبات»، قبل أن يتبعه في 2024 بإصدار «التحليق المنخفض»، الذي استند إلى مقابلات واستطلاعات أجراها مع نحو 200 من زملائه العاملين في توصيل الطلبات، عاكساً ضغوط العمل في اقتصاد الوظائف المؤقتة سريع النمو في الصين. وعقب إعلان فوزه، قال وانغ لصحيفة Global Times الصينية: «شعرت بتوتر شديد قبل إعلان النتائج، فالاهتمام الإعلامي الكبير شكّل ضغطاً نفسياً علي». ورغم هذا الإنجاز الأدبي، أكد أنه لا ينوي ترك عمله، مشيراً إلى أنه سيواصل توصيل الطلبات حتى بلوغه الستين من عمره، وقال: «لا أحتاج إلى هذه الوظيفة من أجل المال، لكنني أحب أجواءها، كما أنها تحافظ على لياقتي».
حياة بسيطة
وأضاف: «أريد أن أعيش حياة بسيطة، ولن تغيّرني الجائزة». ويأتي فوز وانغ في وقت يحقق فيه عدد متزايد من العمال وأصحاب المهن البسيطة حضوراً لافتاً في المشهد الأدبي الصيني، عبر أعمال توثق تجاربهم اليومية وتعكس التحديات التي يواجهونها، وهو ما منح أصواتهم مكانة متزايدة بين القراء والنقاد.
A Chinese food delivery worker has succeeded in winning one of the highest literary awards in his country, after the poems he wrote between work trips transformed into a literary work that received wide acclaim, according to the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).
Low Flight
Wang Jiping (56 years old) won the Lu Xun Literary Prize for his poetry collection "Low Flight," which is named after the writer Lu Xun, who is considered the spiritual father of modern Chinese literature.
Wang started working in food delivery in 2019, after many years of moving between strenuous jobs, including construction, collecting recyclable waste, and selling in markets, after he was forced to leave school at an early age due to his family's financial circumstances.
Despite the hardships of his life, he did not give up on his passion for reading and writing, and continued to publish his poems and articles on social media platforms until he caught attention.
A Man in a Hurry
In 2022, his poem "A Man in a Hurry" gained widespread popularity, inspired by a tiring experience he had while delivering an order to the wrong address, which led him to spend hours trying to reach the customer. In 2023, he published his first poetry collection titled "A Man in a Hurry... Poems of a Delivery Worker," followed by "Low Flight" in 2024, which was based on interviews and surveys he conducted with about 200 of his fellow delivery workers, reflecting the pressures of work in China's rapidly growing gig economy. After the announcement of his win, Wang told the Chinese newspaper Global Times: "I felt very nervous before the results were announced, as the significant media attention created psychological pressure on me." Despite this literary achievement, he confirmed that he does not intend to leave his job, noting that he will continue delivering orders until he turns sixty, and said: "I don't need this job for the money, but I love the atmosphere, and it keeps me fit."
A Simple Life
He added: "I want to live a simple life, and the award will not change me." Wang's win comes at a time when an increasing number of workers and those in simple professions are making a notable presence in the Chinese literary scene, through works that document their daily experiences and reflect the challenges they face, which has given their voices a growing status among readers and critics.
