أرجعت النجمة الأمريكية مادونا تعثر مشروع فيلم سيرتها الذاتية إلى خلاف مع الشركة المنتجة حول الميزانية أدى إلى توقف العمل بعد سنوات من التحضير.
حياة استثنائية
وفي مقابلة مع مجلة «إنترفيو»، أوضحت المغنية البالغة من العمر 67 عاماً بأنها أمضت نحو عامين في كتابة السيناريو والعمل مع المنتجين التنفيذيين داخل الشركة المنتجة على اختيار الممثلين ووضع الميزانية، قبل أن ينشب خلاف بين الطرفين.
وقالت: «عشت حياة استثنائية وحافلة، لذلك احتجت إلى ميزانية ضخمة»، معتبرة أن الاستوديو لم يتبنَّ رؤيتها للمشروع، رغم اقتراحها تنفيذ التصوير في صربيا بتكلفة أقل.
مرحلة الجمود
وأضافت: المشروع دخل مرحلة من الجمود، قبل أن تتواصل معي إحدى المنصات المدفوعة لإنتاج عمل مستوحى من سيرتي، لكني واجهت عقبات جديدة، أبرزها عدم قدرتها على استخدام السيناريو الذي كتبته سابقاً إلا بعد شرائه من الشركة السابقة بتكلفة مرتفعة.
The American star Madonna attributed the setback of her biopic project to a dispute with the production company over the budget, which led to a halt in work after years of preparation.
Exceptional Life
In an interview with "Interview" magazine, the 67-year-old singer explained that she spent about two years writing the script and working with the executive producers within the production company on casting and budgeting, before a disagreement arose between the two parties.
She said: "I have lived an exceptional and eventful life, so I needed a huge budget," considering that the studio did not embrace her vision for the project, despite her suggestion to shoot in Serbia at a lower cost.
Stalemate Phase
She added: the project entered a phase of stalemate, before one of the paid platforms reached out to me to produce a work inspired by my life, but I faced new obstacles, the most significant being that I could not use the script I had previously written unless I purchased it from the previous company at a high cost.
