The intensity of the dispute between the head of the Musicians' Syndicate in Egypt, artist Mustafa Kamel, and Egyptian artist Helmy Abdel Baki has escalated after the former announced that he possesses dangerous documents and evidence that will be revealed in the coming period, coinciding with legal action against pages on social media that he accused of spreading inaccurate news.

Escalation and Exchange

Kamel confirmed, in a statement via his official account on Facebook, that he will not ignore any accusations directed at him, indicating that he will present what he described as facts supported by evidence, accusing Helmy Abdel Baki of attempts to obtain money through illegal means during his time working within the syndicate.

He added: I will reveal details of the amounts that Abdel Baki received under the item of travel allowances and missions, in addition to accusations related to requesting a percentage of the syndicate's revenues, according to his statements.

Bribery Accusations

The head of the musicians accused Helmy Abdel Baki directly of receiving bribes, confirming that he possesses testimonies from former members of the syndicate's council to support his narrative without disclosing additional details in his statement.

Legal Actions

Kamel concluded his statement by announcing that legal actions would be taken against pages he described as fake, confirming that they support Helmy Abdel Baki and spread inaccurate information, noting that official reports have been filed against them in preparation for pursuing them legally.

These developments come as part of a series of escalating disputes between the two parties within the Musicians' Syndicate, which had previously resulted in Helmy Abdel Baki being suspended from performing his syndicate duties and referred to a disciplinary council to investigate several incidents attributed to him.
