تحت رعاية مدير عام التدريب التقني والمهني بمنطقة مكة المكرمة المهندس حسن المجيري تحتفي الجمعية العربية السعودية للثقافة والفنون بجدة بافتتاح معرض «المُهمل» للفنان مشعل العمري، وذلك مساء الاثنين 14 يوليو 2025، في صالة عبدالحليم رضوي بمقر الجمعية.

ويقدّم الفنان مشعل العمري في هذا المعرض تجربة فنية مغايرة، تقوم على تحويل المهمل والتالف من المواد الصناعية إلى أعمال تشكيلية نابضة بالروح والمعنى. يقول العمري عن تجربته: «للفنّان عين ترى ما لا يراه سواه؛ عينٌ تلتقط الجمال في قلب التالف والمهمل، وتعيد إليه الحياة والمعنى». ويضيف: «ما يظنه الناس بقايا لا قيمة لها، هو بالنسبة لي مادة خام ثمينة أستنطقها فنياً لأعيد تدويرها في لوحات ومجسّمات».

تقوم تجربة العمري على بعدين: بيئي وفني. فمن جهة، يهدف إلى تقليل النفايات الصناعية الضارة من خلال جمعها من الشوارع والورش ومخلفات الإنشاءات؛ ومن جهة أخرى يعمل على إعادة توظيفها فنياً في سياق يحمل رسالة بيئية وإنسانية تتجاوز الجمال الظاهري.

انطلقت شرارة هذه التجربة من لحظات المشي المسائي للفنان، حيث كانت عيناه تتوقفان عند قطع البلاستيك والحديد والأنابيب المهملة على الأرض، فيجمعها ليحولها لاحقاً إلى تكوينات تشكيلية ذات طابع رمزي وجمالي. ويصف العمري هذه اللحظة الفنية بأنها «نشوة وسُكر جميل يستولي على الفنان»، لتتحول القطع المنسية إلى أعمال تبهر وتثير التأمل.

معرض «المُهمل» ليس فقط عرضاً تشكيلياً، بل هو دعوة للتفكر في قيمة الأشياء ما بعد الاستعمال، وفي قدرة الفن على إعادة تعريف ما نعتقد أنه فقد قيمته، ليصبح أكثر غنى وإلهاماً.
Under the patronage of the General Director of Technical and Vocational Training in the Makkah region, Engineer Hassan Al-Mujairi, the Saudi Arabian Society for Culture and Arts in Jeddah is celebrating the opening of the exhibition "The Neglected" by artist Mishaal Al-Omari, on the evening of Monday, July 14, 2025, at the Abdul Halim Radwi Hall at the Society's headquarters.

In this exhibition, artist Mishaal Al-Omari presents a unique artistic experience that transforms neglected and damaged industrial materials into vibrant and meaningful sculptural works. Al-Omari says about his experience: "An artist has an eye that sees what others do not; an eye that captures beauty in the heart of the damaged and neglected, and brings it back to life and meaning." He adds: "What people consider to be worthless remnants is, for me, a precious raw material that I artistically articulate to recycle it into paintings and sculptures."

Al-Omari's experience is based on two dimensions: environmental and artistic. On one hand, he aims to reduce harmful industrial waste by collecting it from the streets, workshops, and construction debris; on the other hand, he works on re-employing it artistically in a context that carries an environmental and humanitarian message that transcends superficial beauty.

The spark of this experience ignited during the artist's evening walks, where his eyes would stop at pieces of plastic, metal, and neglected pipes on the ground, collecting them to later transform them into sculptural compositions with symbolic and aesthetic characteristics. Al-Omari describes this artistic moment as "a beautiful intoxication that overtakes the artist," turning forgotten pieces into works that amaze and provoke contemplation.

The exhibition "The Neglected" is not just a visual display; it is an invitation to reflect on the value of things after use, and on the ability of art to redefine what we believe has lost its value, making it richer and more inspiring.
