In 2013, Rimes filed a lawsuit against a former dentist for malpractice, claiming that the installation of dental veneers caused her severe pain, gum inflammation, and chronic bleeding, and these experiences made her candid about her health challenges, adding a human dimension to her interaction with the audience.
