Prioritizing the culture of appearance and false flattery at the expense of true values and principles is a "deadly poison" that destroys families. When a child or young person sees the flattery of the corrupt or hypocritical merely because of their age or status, they learn a dangerous lesson: that appearance and influence are more important than truth and morals, which will lead them in the future to justify their mistakes with the same logic.
There are educational and scientific steps that must be followed to protect the new generation from these toxic environments and to build a strong family both outwardly and inwardly.
First: Redefining "respect for elders" and the difference between etiquette and agreement; respecting the age of an elder is a behavioral and moral duty, but it never means agreeing with their mistakes, adopting their toxic ideas, or considering them a role model.
Second: The truth does not expire; a mistake remains a mistake, and hypocrisy remains hypocrisy, regardless of the age of its perpetrator or the number of sycophants around them.
Third: Filling the emotional and cognitive void (the era of safety); children who find containment, listening, and emotional fulfillment within their families are fortified against any external poisons.
Fourth: Open and frank dialogue; children should be encouraged to ask questions and express their fears without fear of punishment.
Fifth: Educating children and equipping them with knowledge and awareness through continuous learning, as this is their protective shield, allowing them to achieve success and excellence from within themselves, without comparing themselves to other fallen models.
Sixth: Decisiveness and leaving toxic environments; there should be no flattery at the expense of values, and if a person's corruption is proven, then immediate departure from them and distancing oneself is the correct educational decision to protect oneself and the young, and parents and educators must be cautious of intruders who exploit family gaps to sow chaos and distraction.
Always remember: True education is not slogans, but rather daily situations in which children see their parents championing principles over social hypocrisy.
