Back to school; it is not just a seasonal event, but a golden opportunity for a fresh start for the student to achieve academic success and transform it into a fruitful experience, aimed at building a confident generation capable of facing the future.
It is also an opportunity to renew social bonds among students, develop their academic and scientific skills, foster their sense of responsibility, and grant them a degree of commitment and self-discipline that provides them with diverse life experiences.
There are also other roles for the teacher and the school counselor to break down the barriers of challenges facing the student at the beginning of a fruitful school year; the most prominent of these roles are:
First: The teacher provides engaging preparatory programs that help the student adapt to studying again, especially since some of them experience anxiety and stress at the start of the school year due to the atmosphere they lived in during the summer vacation.
Second: The teacher diversifies teaching methods to make them more appealing and effective, to understand the new curricula that require significant awareness from the student.
Third: Additional support from the school counselor to help the student deal with academic pressures or social challenges they face.
To overcome these challenges, several suggestions emerge, the most important of which are:
First: Enhancing continuous communication between the family and the school.
Second: Good time management that helps the student adapt to the new situation and provides a balance between homework, studying, and recreational activities.
Third: Providing psychological support through specialists or guidance programs to boost the student's morale and success.
