• يمضي بعزمٍ يهزُّ ثباتَ الرواسي، ويطيرُ بطموحٍ يلامسُ به وجهَ السماء.. فصيحٌ في كَلِمِه، حصيفٌ في رأيه، غيثٌ في عطائه، بلسمٌ في فزعته، ليّنٌ في تعامله، بشوشٌ في لقائه.. بالنظرة الثاقبة يتجاوز الموقف الطارئ، وبسرعة البديهة يقابل الموقف المفاجئ.. هذا هو الشيخ الدكتور أحمد بن سعد الطيار.
• منذ البدايات؛ سلك في طلبِهِ العلمَ مسارين، الأول: عِلْم بناء الشخصية القيادية من مجلس والده (الشيخ سعد بن عطية الطيار)، حفظه الله وأطال في عمره، والثاني: مسار العلم النظامي بمراحله جميعها وبشقيه العام والعالي، فنجح في المسارين بتسلّمه الشيخة في الأول، ونيله درجة الدكتوراه في الثاني.
• بدرجته العلمية العالية وثقافته؛ تجاوز مهمة: «جئناكم مهنئين ومباركين ومشاركين، ومعنا أمانة، وعطا والمعطي الله»، التي تكاد تكون المهمة الوحيدة لبعض مشايخ اليوم، إلى مهمة توعوية، تنويرية، تثقيفية، وطنية، من خلال فكرٍ عكسه قلمُهُ الرصين مقالاتٍ تُقرَأ في الصحف الرسمية، حمّلها المحبةَ لقيادته، والتهنئةَ لوطنه في مناسباته، والتصدي لأعدائه.
• حمل «الحجرة» واحتياجاتها ومضى بها إلى من أوكلتهم القيادة بخدمة المواطنين، فنالت - كغيرها من محافظات بلد الخير - نصيبها من الاهتمام وتوفير الخدمات.
• رغم مشاغله؛ لا يتأخر عن مناسبات قبيلته بأنواعها فرحاً وترحاً، وعلى يديه تذوب المشكلات، وتنطفئ نار الخصومات. سألته ذات مرةٍ وهو يعاني وعكةً صحيةً: ألا ترتاح..؟ّ! فأجاب: لو الأحبة مثلك يعذرون ربما يرتاح شيخهم، قلت في نفسي من حقهم ألّا يعذروا؛ لأن «حضورك حضور، وغيبتك غيبة».
أخيراً:
بين المشيخة والدكتوراه.. حالة من «الإنجاز» رداؤها العزيمة، وعمامتها الطموح، وعقالها النباهة، تستحق أن تُقرأ.

• He moves with determination that shakes the stability of the mountains, and flies with ambition that touches the face of the sky.. Eloquent in his words, wise in his opinions, a rain of generosity in his giving, a balm in his distress, gentle in his dealings, and cheerful in his meetings.. With a keen eye, he surpasses the urgent situation, and with quick wit, he meets the unexpected circumstance.. This is Sheikh Dr. Ahmed bin Saad Al-Tayyir.
• From the very beginning; he followed two paths in his quest for knowledge, the first: the knowledge of building a leadership personality from the council of his father (Sheikh Saad bin Atiyah Al-Tayyir), may God protect him and prolong his life, and the second: the path of formal education in all its stages and both its general and higher aspects, succeeding in both paths by obtaining the sheikhdom in the first and earning a doctorate in the second.
• With his high academic degree and culture; he transcended the task: “We have come to congratulate, bless, and participate, and we carry with us a trust, and the gift and the giver is God,” which seems to be the only task for some of today’s scholars, to a more enlightening, educational, and national awareness mission, through thoughts reflected in his eloquent pen in articles read in official newspapers, filled with love for his leadership, congratulations for his homeland on its occasions, and confronting its enemies.
• He took the "stone" and its needs and carried it to those whom the leadership entrusted with serving the citizens, and it received - like other provinces of the land of goodness - its share of attention and service provision.
• Despite his busy schedule; he does not delay attending various occasions of his tribe, both joyful and sorrowful, and through his hands, problems dissolve, and the fires of disputes extinguish. I once asked him while he was suffering from a health issue: Don’t you rest? He replied: If the loved ones like you would excuse me, perhaps their Sheikh would rest. I thought to myself, they have the right not to excuse him; because "your presence is presence, and your absence is absence."
Finally:
Between the sheikhdom and the doctorate.. a state of "achievement" whose cloak is determination, whose turban is ambition, and whose agal is alertness, deserves to be read.
