Since the invasion of Iraq, Arabs in several Arab countries, specifically Iraq, Syria, and Yemen, have suffered from the exploitation of sectarian entities by Iran, resulting in the deaths of more than a million people in Iraq and around a million in Syria. This has led to the division of governance in Yemen and a civil war within it, with sectarian militias in Iraq and Yemen launching attacks against their own citizens and against Arab countries for sectarian purposes aligned with Iranian interests. The threat and harm of this infiltration of the Arab ranks continues to escalate and does not diminish, especially with the weakness of the state, the lack of control over weapons, and the presence of sectarian militias. So, what is the solution to this dilemma? The solution lies in reviving the spirit of Arab brotherhood and national unity that made the Syrian broadcaster Abdul Hadi Bakr, on November 2, 1956, after the bombing of the tripartite aggression by Britain, France, and Israel, open his broadcast on Egyptian radio with the iconic historical phrase, "From Damascus... here is Cairo" – "here is Cairo" is the opening phrase of Egyptian radio, and the clip is available on YouTube. The fervor of feeling Arab brotherhood makes Arab peoples, regardless of their sectarian affiliations, immune to foreign exploitation, which has reached a level among the sectarian rebels in Sweida, Syria, where they declared allegiance to Israel. This has resulted in repeated Israeli invasions and bombings of Syria under the pretext of this allegiance to the rebels. But is it possible for Arab fervor to surpass sectarian fervor? The answer from reality is: Yes. Iraq fought an eight-year war with Iran that resulted in the deaths of around a million people, and a large percentage of the Iraqi army was composed of Shiites, yet there were no cases of defection, refusal of military service, or betrayal and collaboration due to sectarian affiliation, despite it being a peak period for the export of the Iranian revolution and the rule of the jurist. Unfortunately, there is currently a dominance of chauvinism on Arab social media that spreads enmity among Arabs and undermines the feeling of Arab unity and brotherhood, with a significant contributor being Israeli accounts that communicate in Arabic. Therefore, it is essential to resist the current chauvinistic trend against Arab unity and brotherhood. Additionally, films, series, and documentaries should be produced to reinforce the feeling of Arab unity and brotherhood, similar to those that embody the historical moments of solidarity among Arab countries against the aggression of the Israeli alliance and colonialism in general, such as the support of Arabs for Algeria's liberation from French colonialism. It is also necessary to include in Arab educational curricula what reinforces the unity of Arab sentiment by focusing on shared Arab history, common civilizational achievements, and shared economic and strategic security interests. The unity of Arab national sentiment is also important to prevent the trend of imposing unilateral political and economic hegemony over other Arab countries at the expense of their security, peace, and territorial integrity, as this trend supports rebellion movements, terrorist groups, separatist movements, and civil wars within Arab countries, backed by Israel, which represents the greatest existential threat to Arabs, causing severe damage to targeted countries and to Arab unity, leading to the severing of relations between some Arab countries. Therefore, there is an urgent need to activate the role of the Arab League to mediate and end the direct and indirect conflict between Arab countries. Arab interconnections can be deepened through public policies, such as encouraging the replacement of Asian labor with Arab labor. A primary reason for the willingness of Arab youth to work for destructive forces is poverty, unemployment, and the lack of job opportunities; all recruits of terrorist and sectarian groups are unemployed. The African Union has called on Western countries to support the provision of job opportunities for African youth as a means to combat terrorism instead of military actions, as the main reason for their joining terrorist groups, which has led to the displacement of 12 million Africans, is unemployment and the lack of job opportunities for youth. As a consequence of this, a shocking number of Arab youth are working for international mercenary companies that are currently committing war crimes in Sudan.
