بعد أن أنهيت مشاهدة تسجيل لحوار تلفزيوني يضخم فيه مسؤول رياضي «نجاحاً» ولِد متعسراً من رحم الفشل، قرأت خبراً عن إنجازٍ عالمي تحقق في مستشفى الملك فيصل التخصصي ومركز الأبحاث بالرياض، عندما نجح فريق جراحي سعودي في استئصال ورمٍ سحائي بحجمٍ يقارب 4.5 سنتيمتر داخل تجويف جمجمة مريضٍ يبلغ من العمر 68 عاماً، باستخدام الروبوت الجراحي لأول مرة في العالم، مما ساهم في تقليل الأثر الجراحي ومغادرة المريض خلال وقتٍ قياسي في جراحات الدماغ بلغ أقل من 24 ساعة !
هذه هي الإنجازات التي تمكّن المسؤول من الفخر والاعتزاز عند الحديث، وهذا ما جعلني وأنا أقرأ تصريحي الرئيس التنفيذي لمستشفى الملك فيصل التخصصي ومركز الأبحاث الدكتور ماجد الفياض ورئيس الفريق الجراحي الدكتور حمود الدهش، أقرأ في الحقيقة معاني الثقة بالنفس والاعتزاز بالذات والفخر بالمؤسسة، والإيمان بكفاءة العاملين فيها !
وصف الدكتور الفياض الإنجاز بأنه «يجسد ثمرة لبيئة الابتكار وترسيخاً لمساهمة المملكة في تشكيل الممارسات الطبية»، والحقيقة أنها ثمرة لا تقطف في حديقة الوطن فحسب، بل تمتد أغصانها لتثمر في أنحاء قارات العالم، ومساهمة تضع هوية سعودية في مستقبل الممارسات الطبية العالمية، وهذا هو الأثر الأسمى لإنجازات الدول في مسيرتها الحضارية والمكانة الأرفع التي ترتقي إليها بين الأمم !
باختصار.. كمواطنٍ سعودي أشعر بالكثير من الامتنان لمؤسساتنا العلمية والبحثية والطبية، التي تحقق إنجازات نفخر بها على مستوى العالم، وتمنحنا القدرة على التمييز بين الحقيقة والوهم !
After finishing watching a recording of a television interview where a sports official exaggerated a "success" born from the womb of failure, I read a news article about a global achievement realized at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Riyadh, when a Saudi surgical team successfully removed a meningioma tumor measuring approximately 4.5 centimeters from the skull cavity of a 68-year-old patient, using a surgical robot for the first time in the world. This contributed to reducing the surgical impact and allowed the patient to leave within a record time of less than 24 hours in brain surgeries!
These are the achievements that enable officials to feel pride and honor when speaking, and this is what made me, while reading the statements of the CEO of King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center, Dr. Majid Al-Fayyad, and the head of the surgical team, Dr. Hamoud Al-Dahash, truly read meanings of self-confidence, self-esteem, pride in the institution, and faith in the competence of its workers!
Dr. Al-Fayyad described the achievement as "embodying the fruit of an innovative environment and reinforcing the Kingdom's contribution to shaping medical practices," and the truth is that it is a fruit that is not only harvested in the garden of the homeland but extends its branches to bear fruit across the continents of the world, a contribution that places a Saudi identity in the future of global medical practices. This is the highest impact of a country's achievements in its civilizational journey and the elevated status it attains among nations!
In short.. as a Saudi citizen, I feel a great deal of gratitude towards our scientific, research, and medical institutions that achieve accomplishments we take pride in on a global level, granting us the ability to distinguish between truth and illusion!
