وفقاً لمراسل «عكاظ» في حائل، الزميل متعب العواد، أسندت إدارات التعليم إلى حراس المدارس أدواراً في حماية البيئة التعليمية وتعزيز جوانب الأمن والسلامة، حيث يبدأ عملهم قبل حضور منسوبي المدرسة بفتح أبوابها، وينتهي بعد مغادرتهم بإطفاء أنوارها !
ومن مهام حارس الأمن - وفق ما نُشر - مباشرة الحوادث والمشكلات الأمنية والسلوكية، وتنظيم الحركة المرورية أمام المداخل، وضبط عمليات الدخول والخروج، ومتابعة أعمال النظافة والصيانة، والتأكد من إغلاق النوافذ والأبواب وإطفاء الكهرباء عند نهاية اليوم الدراسي !
كما تشمل مهامه تشغيل أجهزة الإنذار عند وقوع الحرائق، والاتصال بالدفاع المدني، وإغلاق مصادر الغاز، وفصل التيار الكهربائي، وإيقاف القوى المحركة عند وقوع الحوادث، إضافة إلى إرشاد العاملين والطلاب إلى المخارج وتجميعهم في نقاط التجمع المخصصة، والمساعدة في إبعاد الطلاب عن أماكن الخطر، والمشاركة في إخماد الحرائق باستخدام طفايات الحريق، والتواجد مع فرق الإنقاذ حتى انتهاء الحالة الطارئة !
والحقيقة، أنه لا ينقص هذه المهام سوى تكليفه بحصص الاحتياط وتصحيح أوراق الاختبارات ومراقبتها !
باختصار.. مهام عديدة تتطلب تدريباً خاصاً وتأهيلاً متخصصاً وقدرات متنوعة، وقبل كل شيء: راتباً جزيلاً !
