I noticed the negligence of the waste transport contractor in our residential area in returning a waste container to its place, which obstructed the road and could pose a danger, especially in the evening. So, I used the "My City" app affiliated with the Riyadh Municipality to submit a photo report about the situation. After a few hours, I received a thank-you message along with a notification indicating that the report had been addressed, with a picture showing that!

I praised the effectiveness of the app and the quick response, and someone commented asking, "Where are the monitors?!" In reality, no number of monitors, in any field, can detect all errors and violations, which highlights the importance of the role of community members as a vigilant eye contributing to the public good!

If there is an evaluation of the performance of official entities, it is measured by the effectiveness of their channels and platforms in receiving reports, observations, and complaints, and how responsive they are in addressing them!

Today, digital channels dedicated to communicating with community members are no longer a luxury for most institutions in both the public and private sectors; they have become one of the most important tools for improving performance, accomplishing tasks, and achieving objectives.

From this standpoint, community members must feel the importance of their supervisory role, as they are fulfilling a great duty that contributes to achieving the public interest!
