Moments of joy turned into a state of panic after a horse pulling a "hantour" carriage carrying a bride and groom bolted during a wedding ceremony in Alexandria, causing the carriage to overturn in the middle of the road.
A circulating video showed the horse suddenly taking off with the carriage that the couple was in, while several attendees and passersby tried to catch up with it and regain control, amidst a state of confusion and fear.
The owner of the hantour revealed to "Okaz" that the horse had received an electric shock lasting about two to three seconds, which caused it to panic and flee with the bride and groom. He confirmed that the couple was fine and did not suffer any injuries from the incident.
Chase Ends with the Overturning of the Carriage
The horse continued to run with the couple, while one person tried to catch and stop it, as others hurried to pursue it in an attempt to regain control and end the panic it caused in the street.
After a few moments, the chase ended with the overturning of the "hantour" carriage carrying the couple, as attendees gathered around them to check on them and assist.
The couple's ride, which was part of the wedding celebrations, turned into a surprising incident captured by phone cameras, before the situation ended safely, according to the carriage owner.
