في واقعة احتيال درامية صدمت المجتمع المحلي في محافظة طرطوس، نجحت قوى الأمن الداخلي السورية في إسقاط واحدة من أذكى الشبكات الإجرامية، عقب كشف النقاب عن «لعبة نفوذ» محكمة أدارها شخص احترف انتحال الشخصيات الرسمية لإسقاط ضحاياه وسلب أملاكهم بدم بارد.
العقل المدبر للشبكة اعتمد حيلة شيطانية لبث الهيبة والسيطرة، إذ كان يخدع الضحايا وإدارات المكاتب بأنه «المرافق الشخصي لوزير الداخلية»، ليتحرك بحرية ونفوذ وهمي يمنع أي شخص من التشكيك في نواياه أو طلب ضمانات إضافية.
وكشفت كواليس المخطط استراتيجيةً خبيثةً للاستيلاء على أسطول كامل من المركبات، إذ كان أفراد العصابة يستأجرون السيارات من أصحابها بعقود رسمية ظاهرة، قبل أن يتواروا عن الأنظار ويقوموا ببيعها لغرباء بصورة غير مشروعة بأسعار بخسة راوحت بين 3,000 و4,000 دولار للمركبة الواحدة.
لكن الضربة الأمنية المباغتة أطاحت بستة أشخاص على رأسهم زعيم الشبكة المزيف، مع النجاح في استعادة 17 سيارة مسروقة من أصل 18، إضافة إلى استرداد مبلغ مالي قدره 915 ألف ليرة سورية من حصيلة الصفقات المشبوهة.
وأمام هول الصدمة، أكدت الأجهزة الأمنية السورية أن العمليات الميدانية لا تزال جارية لاستعادة السيارة الأخيرة المتبقية وإعادة الحقوق لأصحابها، مع إحالة أعضاء الشبكة إلى القضاء لمواجهة تهم ثقيلة تشمل الاحتيال، وتأليف شبكة أشرار، وانتحال صفة أمنية رفيعة.
وفجّرت الواقعة موجة تفاعل واسعة، وسط تحذيرات شديدة من التساهل مع أدعياء النفوذ والصفات الوهمية التي باتت سلاحاً جديداً في يد محترفي النصب والاحتيال.
In a dramatic fraud incident that shocked the local community in Tartus Governorate, the Syrian internal security forces succeeded in dismantling one of the smartest criminal networks, following the revelation of a meticulously managed "influence game" run by an individual who had mastered impersonating official identities to deceive his victims and coldly seize their properties.
The mastermind of the network employed a diabolical trick to instill fear and control, as he deceived victims and office administrations by claiming to be the "personal escort of the Minister of Interior," allowing him to move freely with a fictitious influence that prevented anyone from questioning his intentions or asking for additional guarantees.
Behind the scenes of the scheme, a malicious strategy was uncovered to seize an entire fleet of vehicles, as gang members would rent cars from their owners under apparent official contracts, before disappearing from sight and selling them to strangers illegally at low prices ranging between $3,000 and $4,000 per vehicle.
However, the sudden security strike brought down six individuals, including the fake network leader, successfully recovering 17 stolen vehicles out of 18, in addition to reclaiming a sum of 915,000 Syrian pounds from the proceeds of the dubious transactions.
In light of the shock, the Syrian security agencies confirmed that field operations are still ongoing to recover the last remaining vehicle and restore rights to their owners, while referring the network members to the judiciary to face serious charges including fraud, forming a gang of criminals, and impersonating a high-security official.
The incident sparked a wide wave of reactions, accompanied by strong warnings against leniency towards those who claim influence and false identities, which have become a new weapon in the hands of fraud and scam professionals.
