أسفر انفجار غاز ضخم وقع في حانة شهيرة بحي بوينتي دي فاليكاس الشعبي جنوب شرق العاصمة الإسبانية مدريد عن إصابة ما لا يقل عن 25 شخصاً، ثلاثة منهم في حالة حرجة واثنان في حالة خطيرة محتملة، وفقاً لتقارير خدمات الطوارئ المدريدية.
تسرب غاز
ووقع الانفجار حوالى الساعة الثالثة مساءً في مبنى تجاري مُعاد تحويله جزئياً إلى سكن، ما أدى إلى انهيار جزئي للسقف وتدمير جدران الحانة، وانتشار الركام في الشارع، وأكدت السلطات أن السبب المشتبه به هو تسرب غاز، لكن التحقيقات مستمرة لتحديد السبب الدقيق، وسط شهادات من شهود عيان أشارت إلى «رائحة غاز قوية» قبل الحادث.
إجلاء السكان وتوفير الإيواء
وأعلنت بلدية مدريد إجلاء السكان المجاورين وتوفير إيواء مؤقت لهم، مع استمرار عمليات الإنقاذ بمساعدة 18 فرقة إطفاء ووحدة كلاب الإنقاذ، إضافة إلى استخدام طائرات دون طيار لفحص الموقع.
ويعد حي بوينتي دي فاليكاس، أحد أكثر الأحياء كثافة سكانية في مدريد، فهو منطقة عمالية تاريخية تضم حوالى 250 ألف نسمة، معظمهم من الطبقة المتوسطة والدنيا والمهاجرين من أمريكا اللاتينية وشمال أفريقيا، ويُعرف الحي بأسواقه الحيوية وحاناته الشعبية مثل «ميس تيس» التي كانت مكتظة بالزبائن في نهاية الأسبوع.
كرة نارية أضاءت الموقع
ووفقاً لوسائل إعلام إسبانية، تعد الحانة التي شهدت الحادث نقطة تجمع اجتماعية للسكان المحليين، وكانت مفتوحة أثناء الذروة عند وقوع الانفجار، وفقاً لشهادات أولية أفاد شهود بأن «الانفجار كان هائلاً، مع كرة نارية أضاءت الشارع» وأن الزبائن داخل الحانة كانوا يتناولون الغداء عندما حدث التسرب.
وبدأت عملية الإنقاذ فوراً، إذ هرعت 13 وحدة شرطة، و18 فريق إطفاء من بلدية مدريد، ووحدات طبية إلى الموقع، واستخدمت الشرطة المدريدية طائرات دون طيار لمسح الركام والبحث عن ناجين محتملين، بينما أغلقت السلطات الشارع الرئيسي للسماح بالعمليات.

وأكدت خدمات الطوارئ في تغريدة على حسابها الرسمي أن «الوضع تحت السيطرة، لكن عمليات التنقيب مستمرة»، مع التركيز على استقرار المبنى السكني المجاور الذي تضرر جزئياً، ولم يُبلغ عن وفيات حتى الآن، لكن الثلاثة الحرجين يعانون من إصابات شديدة، بما في ذلك حروق من الدرجة الثالثة وصدمات رئوية بسبب الغاز.

وأعلنت السلطات فتح تحقيق رسمي بمشاركة الشرطة العلمية لفحص أنابيب الغاز وشهادات الشهود، مع توقعات بغرامات محتملة على مالكي المبنى إذا ثبت الإهمال، وأعربت عمدة مدريد، جوزيبينا أوريول، عن تعازيها للمصابين ووعدت بـ«دعم نفسي ومالي للمتضررين»، مشددة على أهمية الصيانة الدورية.

Evacuation of Residents and Provision of Shelter
The Madrid municipality announced the evacuation of neighboring residents and the provision of temporary shelter for them, as rescue operations continued with the help of 18 firefighting teams and a rescue dog unit, in addition to the use of drones to inspect the site.
Puente de Vallecas is one of the most densely populated neighborhoods in Madrid, being a historic working-class area with about 250,000 residents, most of whom are from the middle and lower classes and immigrants from Latin America and North Africa. The neighborhood is known for its vibrant markets and popular bars like "Mes Tis," which was crowded with customers over the weekend.
Fireball Illuminated the Scene
According to Spanish media, the bar where the incident occurred is a social gathering point for local residents and was open during peak hours when the explosion took place. Initial testimonies from witnesses reported that "the explosion was massive, with a fireball illuminating the street," and that customers inside the bar were having lunch when the leak occurred.
The rescue operation began immediately, with 13 police units, 18 firefighting teams from the Madrid municipality, and medical units rushing to the scene.
