شهد كورنيش منطقة سبورتنج شرق مدينة الإسكندرية، مساء أمس (الأحد) حادثة مروعة إثر سباق دراجات نارية غير قانوني، وثقته عدسات المارة وانتشر بشكل واسع على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، مثيراً موجة من الغضب والاستنكار.
ويظهر في الفيديو دراجتان ناريتان تنطلقان بسرعة جنونية وسط السيارات على الطريق الساحلي، قبل أن يفقد أحد السائقين السيطرة على دراجته بسبب عبور أحد المشاة بشكل مفاجئ أمامه. وقد أسفرت الحادثة عن اصطدام الدراجة بالمواطن وسقوط السائق بعنف على الأسفلت، فيما استمرت الدراجة في الانزلاق لمسافة طويلة.
وأكد شهود عيان أن هذه السباقات العشوائية باتت مشهداً معتاداً في المنطقة، خصوصاً خلال ساعات الليل، ما يشكل تهديداً مباشراً لحياة المارة والسائقين على حد سواء.
وأثارت الحادثة استياء سكان المنطقة والمارة، الذين طالبوا بتشديد الرقابة الأمنية لمنع تكرار هذه التصرفات الطائشة التي وصفوها بـ«سباقات الموت».
The Corniche in the Sporting area east of Alexandria witnessed a horrific incident last night (Sunday) due to an illegal motorcycle race, which was captured by the lenses of passersby and widely circulated on social media, sparking a wave of anger and condemnation.
The video shows two motorcycles racing at breakneck speed among cars on the coastal road, before one of the riders loses control of his bike due to a pedestrian suddenly crossing in front of him. The incident resulted in the motorcycle colliding with the citizen, causing the rider to violently fall onto the asphalt, while the motorcycle continued to slide for a long distance.
Eyewitnesses confirmed that these random races have become a common sight in the area, especially during nighttime, posing a direct threat to the lives of pedestrians and drivers alike.
The incident has outraged local residents and passersby, who called for stricter security measures to prevent the recurrence of such reckless behavior, which they described as "death races."
