تلقت غرفة عمليات مديرية الصحة في مطروح بلاغاً بوقوع حادثة انقلاب لعربة قطار ركاب قادم من مرسى مطروح إلى الإسكندرية، في منطقة صحراوية غربي مدينة الضبعة، قرب قريتي زاوية العوامة وسواني جابر. ووفقاً للتقرير الأولي، أسفرت الحادثة عن وقوع قتلى وإصابة عشرات الأشخاص.
فيما هرع أهالي المنطقة إلى موقع الحادثة لمساعدة الركاب، ووصلت فرق الإسعاف بسرعة لنقل المصابين إلى مستشفى الضبعة المركزي. وقد توقفت حركة القطارات على خط مطروح-محرم بك بعد الحادثة، إثر خروج عربات القطار رقم 1935 «روسي مكيف» عن مسارها بسبب هبوط مفاجئ في السكة الحديدية.
وتم استدعاء فرق هندسة السكة الحديد والأوناش للعمل على رفع العربات المتضررة وإعادتها إلى مسارها، إضافة إلى معالجة مشكلة هبوط السكة لضمان استئناف الحركة.
The Operations Room of the Health Directorate in Matrouh received a report of a train derailment incident involving a passenger train coming from Marsa Matrouh to Alexandria, in a desert area west of the city of Dabaa, near the villages of Zawiyat Al-Awama and Sawani Jaber. According to the preliminary report, the incident resulted in fatalities and injuries to dozens of people.
Meanwhile, local residents rushed to the scene of the accident to assist the passengers, and ambulance teams quickly arrived to transport the injured to Dabaa Central Hospital. Train services on the Matrouh-Mahram Bek line were halted after the incident, following the derailment of train number 1935 "Russian Air-conditioned" due to a sudden drop in the railway track.
Engineering teams from the railway and cranes were summoned to work on lifting the damaged carriages and returning them to the track, in addition to addressing the issue of the track subsidence to ensure the resumption of services.
