أعلنت السلطات الفيتنامية صباح اليوم العثور على 3 جثث أخرى في أعقاب غرق قارب سياحي في خليج «ها لونغ» الشهير شمال فيتنام، ما رفع عدد الوفيات إلى 38 شخصاً على الأقل.
وقالت إدارة البحث والإنقاذ بوزارة الدفاع الوطني: «تم العثور على 3 جثث تعود لأفراد الطاقم كانوا محتجزين داخل المقصورة».
وكان القارب، الذي يقل 48 سائحاً و5 من أفراد الطاقم، قد انقلب بسبب رياح قوية بعد ظهر أمس أثناء جولة في خليج «ها لونغ».
وحشدت سلطات الموانئ من حرس الحدود والبحرية والشرطة 323 فرداً لعملية الإنقاذ.
ويُعدّ خليج «ها لونغ» أحد مواقع التراث العالمي لليونسكو ويمتد على مساحة تزيد على 1500 كيلومتر مربع، وينتشر فيه نحو ألفي جزيرة، وهو أحد أشهر الوجهات السياحية في فيتنام، حيث يجذب ملايين الزوّار كل عام.
The Vietnamese authorities announced this morning the discovery of 3 more bodies following the sinking of a tourist boat in the famous "Ha Long" Bay in northern Vietnam, raising the death toll to at least 38 people.
The National Defense Ministry's search and rescue department stated: "Three bodies belonging to crew members were found trapped inside the cabin."
The boat, which was carrying 48 tourists and 5 crew members, capsized due to strong winds yesterday afternoon during a tour in "Ha Long" Bay.
Port authorities, along with the border guards, navy, and police, mobilized 323 personnel for the rescue operation.
"Ha Long" Bay is a UNESCO World Heritage site covering an area of over 1,500 square kilometers, dotted with around two thousand islands, and is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Vietnam, attracting millions of visitors each year.
