اضطرت طائرة تابعة لشركة «إيزي جيت» إلى الهبوط اضطرارياً في مطار إزمير بتركيا، بعد أن أبلغ الركاب عن رائحة دخان داخل الطائرة.
كانت الطائرة، وهي من طراز إيرباص A320، متجهة من بافوس في قبرص إلى مطار بريستول في بريطانيا، عندما تم رصد المشكلة الفنية بعد ساعة و20 دقيقة من الإقلاع.
ويأتي هذا الحادث في أعقاب كارثة جوية مروعة في الهند، أثارت صدمة عالمية.
وفقاً لتقارير إعلامية، كانت الطائرة تحلق على ارتفاع 36000 قدم عندما تم الإبلاغ عن رائحة الدخان.
وقرر الطيار تحويل مسار الطائرة على الفور إلى إزمير، حيث هبطت بسلام واستقبلتها فرق الطوارئ كإجراء احترازي.
من جانبها، أصدرت «إيزي جيت» بياناً جاء فيه: «تم تحويل الرحلة EZY2902 إلى إزمير بسبب مشكلة فنية تسببت في رائحة دخان داخل الطائرة، وهبطت الطائرة بأمان وتم استقبال الركاب في المطار بشكل طبيعي».
وتم توفير الإقامة الفندقية والوجبات للركاب، ومن المتوقع أن يستكملوا رحلتهم إلى بريستول على متن طائرة بديلة في وقت لاحق اليوم.
وأكدت الشركة أن سلامة الركاب وطاقم الطائرة هي الأولوية القصوى، مشيرة إلى التزامها بمعايير السلامة الصارمة.

Hotel accommodation and meals were provided for the passengers, who are expected to continue their journey to Bristol on a replacement flight later today.
The company confirmed that the safety of passengers and crew is the top priority, emphasizing its commitment to strict safety standards.
