في واقعة مثيرة، أعلنت شركة إيكيا، الرائدة عالميًا في الأثاث والأدوات المنزلية، استدعاء فوري لعصارة الثوم IKEA 365+ VÄRDEFULL سوداء اللون، بعد اكتشاف عيب تصنيعي خطير قد يتسبب في انفصال قطع معدنية صغيرة أثناء الاستخدام، مما يُعرض المستخدمين لخطر صحي جسيم في حال اختلاطها بالطعام وابتلاعها.
وبحسب بيان رسمي عبر الصفحة الرسمية لرئاسة مجلس الوزراء المصري، على فيسبوك، يأتي هذا القرار بالتعاون مع جهاز حماية المستهلك المصري، الذي يؤكد التزامه بدوره الرقابي في ضمان جودة وسلامة المنتجات المتداولة في السوق.
ودعت «إيكيا»، بحسب بيان مجلس الوزراء، عملاءها إلى التوقف الفوري عن استخدام المنتج والتواصل معها لاسترداد قيمته بالكامل أو استبداله، في خطوة تعكس مسؤوليتها تجاه المستهلكين وشفافيتها في التعامل مع العيوب المحتملة.
وأوضحت، أن تحقيقًا داخليًا كشف خللًا إنتاجيًّا في عصارة الثوم VÄRDEFULL، إذ يمكن أن تنفصل أجزاء معدنية صغيرة أثناء الاستخدام دون أن يلاحظها المستخدم، مما يُشكل تهديدًا مباشرًا للصحة.
وبالتنسيق مع جهاز حماية المستهلك، اتخذت الشركة تدابير احترازية عاجلة لسحب المنتج من السوق المصرية، مؤكدة التزامها بأعلى معايير السلامة.
وناشدت المستهلكين الذين اقتنوا المنتج بالتوقف عن استخدامه فورًا والتوجه إلى فروع إيكيا أو الاتصال بخدمة العملاء على الرقم 16576 لإعادة المنتج واسترداد قيمته أو استبداله، دون اشتراط تقديم فاتورة الشراء.
من جانبه، أكد جهاز حماية المستهلك أن هذا الإجراء يتماشى مع قانون حماية المستهلك رقم 181 لسنة 2018 ولائحته التنفيذية، التي تُلزم الموردين بالإبلاغ الفوري عن أي مخاطر محتملة في المنتجات واتخاذ الإجراءات التصحيحية.
وأشار إلى أنه تلقى إخطارًا رسميًا من إيكيا يفيد بوجود العيب، مما دفع الجهاز لمتابعة عملية الاستدعاء عن كثب لضمان سحب المنتج من السوق بشكل كامل.
وشدد الجهاز على استمرار تنسيقه مع الشركة لفحص الإجراءات الفنية المتعلقة بالسحب، والتأكد من امتثال الشركة للمعايير القياسية للسلامة، لمنع تكرار مثل هذه الحوادث وحماية حقوق المستهلكين.

According to an official statement via the official page of the Egyptian Cabinet on Facebook, this decision comes in collaboration with the Egyptian Consumer Protection Agency, which reaffirms its commitment to its regulatory role in ensuring the quality and safety of products circulating in the market.
IKEA urged its customers, according to the Cabinet's statement, to immediately stop using the product and contact them for a full refund or exchange, in a move that reflects its responsibility towards consumers and transparency in dealing with potential defects.
It clarified that an internal investigation revealed a production flaw in the VÄRDEFULL garlic press, as small metal parts can detach during use without the user noticing, which poses a direct threat to health.
In coordination with the Consumer Protection Agency, the company took urgent precautionary measures to withdraw the product from the Egyptian market, affirming its commitment to the highest safety standards.
The company urged consumers who purchased the product to stop using it immediately and to visit IKEA branches or contact customer service at 16576 to return the product and receive a refund or exchange, without the need to present a purchase receipt.
For its part, the Consumer Protection Agency confirmed that this action aligns with Consumer Protection Law No. 181 of 2018 and its executive regulations, which require suppliers to immediately report any potential risks in products and take corrective actions.
It noted that it received an official notification from IKEA regarding the defect, prompting the agency to closely monitor the recall process to ensure the complete withdrawal of the product from the market.
