تمكنت السلطات الأمنية الكويتية من ضبط امرأة هندية تعمل ربة منزل وتمارس مهنة الطب دون حصولها على أي مؤهل علمي أو ترخيص قانوني، خلال عملية أمنية ناجحة نفذتها إدارة المباحث الجنائية في محافظة الفروانية.
ووقعت الحادثة في منطقة جليب الشيوخ بمحافظة الفروانية، حيث كانت المتهمة تدير عيادة غير مرخصة، تقدم فيها خدمات طبية، بما في ذلك فحص الأطفال وتحضير علاجات شعبية على شكل كبسولات دون إشراف طبي.
ووفقاً لوزارة الداخلية الكويتية، تم ضبط المرأة أثناء قيامها بفحص طفل، وتبين أن مهنتها المسجلة رسمياً هي «ربة منزل»، وعُثر في العيادة غير القانونية على كمية من الأدوية المتنوعة، وجهاز لقياس الضغط، وسماعة طبية، إضافة إلى حليب أطفال مخصص للصرف من وزارة الصحة.
كما أقرت المتهمة خلال التحقيقات بممارستها المهنة دون مؤهلات، مشيرة إلى أنها تستورد بعض الأدوية من خارج الكويت، وتمت إحالتها إلى الجهات المختصة لاتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية بحقها، وفقاً لقانون مزاولة مهنة الطب والمهن المساعدة.
وتُعتبر قضايا مزاولة المهن الطبية دون ترخيص من المشكلات التي تواجهها السلطات الكويتية بشكل متكرر، خصوصاً في مناطق مثل جليب الشيوخ التي تضم تجمعات كبيرة من العمالة الوافدة، وفي يونيو 2022، ضبطت السلطات امرأة عربية تمارس الطب دون ترخيص في عيادة غير قانونية، وعُثر على أدوية وأجهزة طبية غير مرخصة، ما يشير إلى استمرار هذه الظاهرة.
Kuwaiti security authorities managed to apprehend an Indian woman who worked as a housewife and practiced medicine without any scientific qualifications or legal license during a successful security operation carried out by the Criminal Investigations Department in the Al-Farwaniyah Governorate.
The incident took place in the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area of Al-Farwaniyah Governorate, where the accused was running an unlicensed clinic, providing medical services, including examining children and preparing traditional remedies in the form of capsules without medical supervision.
According to the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior, the woman was caught while examining a child, and it was found that her officially registered profession was "housewife." A quantity of various medications, a blood pressure measuring device, a stethoscope, in addition to infant formula designated for disposal by the Ministry of Health, were discovered in the illegal clinic.
The accused also admitted during the investigations to practicing the profession without qualifications, indicating that she imported some medications from outside Kuwait. She has been referred to the relevant authorities to take legal action against her, in accordance with the law governing the practice of medicine and allied professions.
Cases of practicing medical professions without a license are considered one of the recurring problems faced by Kuwaiti authorities, especially in areas like Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, which host large gatherings of expatriate labor. In June 2022, authorities apprehended an Arab woman practicing medicine without a license in an illegal clinic, where unlicensed medications and medical devices were found, indicating the persistence of this phenomenon.
