حقق طالب الصف الرابع الابتدائي غسان الصميلي المركز الثاني في الحساب الذهني على مستوى مناطق المملكة ضمن منافسات مسابقة «يوسي ماس ucmas» المحلية التي أقيمت بالرياض بمشاركة 265 متسابقاً في الثاني من مايو الجاري.
وكان الطالب الصميلي قد حقق المركز الرابع في منافسات البطولة الأوروبية لبرامج الحساب الذهني 2025 «أون لاين» التي أقيمت في الشهر شهر نفسه بألمانيا بمشاركة 150متسابقاً يمثّلون 14دولة.
الجدير بالذكر، أن الطالب غسان سبق أن حصل على المركز الأول حضورياً في المسابقه الأوروبية المفتوحة لبرامج الحساب الذهني بألمانيا التي أقيمت في سبتمبر 2024 بمشاركة 14 دولة مثّلها 100 متسابق من خلال حلّ 81 مسألة من أصل 100 خلال 4 دقائق، وكرّمه على إثرها سفير خادم الحرمين الشريفين في ألمانيا الأمير عبدالله بن خالد بن سلطان بمقر السفارة في برلين نظير هذا الإنجاز.
كما حقق المركز الثاني على مستوى المملكة في مسابقة مكة الثامنة للحساب الذهني في مارس 2024 بمشاركة أكثر من 200 متسابق من مناطق المملكة كافة، إذ استطاع حلّ 200 مسألة في 8 دقائق، إضافة لتحقيقه المركز الثاني عالمياً في مسابقة تايون العالمية للحساب الذهني في 9/ 6/ 2024 بمشاركة 30 دولة مثلها 300 متسابق من خلال حل 100 مسألة في 4 دقائق، وغيرها من مسابقات الحساب الذهني.
Fourth-grade student Ghassan Al-Sumaili achieved second place in mental arithmetic at the regional level across the Kingdom during the "UCMAS" local competition held in Riyadh, with the participation of 265 contestants on May 2nd.
Student Al-Sumaili had previously secured fourth place in the European Championship for mental arithmetic programs 2025 "online," which took place in the same month in Germany, with the participation of 150 contestants representing 14 countries.
It is worth mentioning that Ghassan had previously won first place in person at the European Open Championship for mental arithmetic programs in Germany, which was held in September 2024, with the participation of 14 countries represented by 100 contestants by solving 81 problems out of 100 in 4 minutes. He was honored by the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Germany, Prince Abdullah bin Khalid bin Sultan, at the embassy in Berlin in recognition of this achievement.
He also achieved second place at the national level in the eighth mental arithmetic competition in Mecca in March 2024, with the participation of more than 200 contestants from all regions of the Kingdom, as he managed to solve 200 problems in 8 minutes. Additionally, he secured second place globally in the Taiwan International Mental Arithmetic Competition on June 9, 2024, with the participation of 30 countries represented by 300 contestants by solving 100 problems in 4 minutes, among other mental arithmetic competitions.
