أصدرت محكمة دنماركية حكماً بفرض غرامة مالية قدرها 10,000 كرونة دنماركية (ما يعادل حوالى 1,500 دولار أمريكي) على رجلين، أحدهما زعيم حزب «سترام كورس» اليميني المتطرف راسموس بالودان، بعد إدانتهما بتدنيس القرآن الكريم خلال فعالية عامة، كأول تطبيق فعلي للتشريع الجديد الذي أقرته الدنمارك في ديسمبر 2023، والذي يحظر تدنيس النصوص الدينية المقدسة علناً، مثل حرق القرآن أو تمزيقه أو الإساءة إليه بطرق أخرى.
ووفقاً لبيان المدعية العامة في كوبنهاغن، ليز-لوت نيلاس، فإن الرجلين، اللذين لم يتم الكشف عن هويتهما رسمياً (لكن مصادر إعلامية أكدت أن أحدهما بالودان)، قاما بـ«معاملة غير لائقة» للقرآن خلال مهرجان سياسي واقتصادي واجتماعي في يونيو 2024، في فعل تم علناً، بحضور عدد من الأشخاص، وتم تصويره وبثه مباشرة عبر "فيسبوك"، مما وسع نطاق انتشاره.
ويعاقب التشريع الجديد الذي أقرته الدنمارك، في 7 ديسمبر 2023، على مثل هذه الأفعال بغرامة أو السجن لمدة تصل إلى عامين، استهدف منع «الاستهزاء المنهجي» الذي قد يؤدي إلى تهديدات أمنية أو توترات دبلوماسية، وهو الحكم الذي رحبت به منظمات إسلامية، معتبرة إياه خطوة نحو احترام المقدسات الدينية.

A Danish court has issued a ruling imposing a fine of 10,000 Danish kroner (approximately 1,500 US dollars) on two men, one of whom is the leader of the far-right party "Stram Kurs," Rasmus Paludan, after they were convicted of desecrating the Quran during a public event. This marks the first actual application of the new legislation enacted by Denmark in December 2023, which prohibits the public desecration of sacred religious texts, such as burning, tearing, or otherwise disrespecting the Quran.
According to a statement from the Attorney General of Copenhagen, Lis-Lott Nylas, the two men, whose identities have not been officially disclosed (but media sources confirmed that one of them is Paludan), engaged in "inappropriate treatment" of the Quran during a political, economic, and social festival in June 2024. This act was done publicly, in the presence of several people, and was filmed and broadcast live on "Facebook," which expanded its reach.
The new legislation enacted by Denmark on December 7, 2023, punishes such acts with a fine or imprisonment for up to two years, aiming to prevent "systematic mockery" that could lead to security threats or diplomatic tensions. This ruling has been welcomed by Islamic organizations, considering it a step towards respecting religious sanctities.
