أعلن الملياردير الأمريكي إيلون ماسك، عبر منشور على منصته الاجتماعية «إكس»، أن نموذج الذكاء الاصطناعي «Grok 2.5»، الذي طوّرته شركته«xAI»، أصبح الآن مفتوح المصدر.
هذا القرار يتيح الكود البرمجي للنموذج للجميع، مما يتيح للباحثين والمطورين فرصة دراسته وتطويره، في خطوة تهدف إلى تعزيز الابتكار والتعاون في مجال الذكاء الاصطناعي. وأضاف ماسك أن النسخة الأحدث من النموذج، «Grok 3»، ستُطرح كمفتوحة المصدر خلال الأشهر الستة القادمة.
نموذج «Grok 2.5 هو روبوت محادثة يعتمد على الذكاء الاصطناعي، طوّرته شركة «xAI» ليكون منافسًا لأنظمة مثل «تشات جي بي تي»، ويتميز النموذج بقدرته على التفاعل مع المستخدمين من خلال الإجابة عن الأسئلة، توليد النصوص، تحليل البيانات، ومعالجة الصور، كما يُستخدم بشكل أساسي ضمن منصة «إكس» الاجتماعية، مع توفره أيضًا عبر تطبيقات الهواتف الذكية وموقع الويب.
ومنذ إطلاقه في أغسطس 2024، كان «Grok 2.5» متاحًا حصريًا لمشتركي باقتي X Premium وX Premium+، قبل أن تتيح «xAI» إصدارًا مجانيًا من الخدمة في ديسمبر الماضي.
هذا الإصدار المجاني، إلى جانب قرار فتح المصدر، يعكس التزام الشركة بجعل التكنولوجيا متاحة لجمهور أوسع، مما يعزز الشفافية ويسهم في تسريع وتيرة الابتكار في مجال الذكاء الاصطناعي.

The "Grok 2.5" model is an AI-based chatbot developed by "xAI" to compete with systems like "ChatGPT." It is primarily used within the "X" social platform, but is also available through smartphone applications and the website.
Since its launch in August 2024, "Grok 2.5" has been exclusively available to subscribers of the X Premium and X Premium+ packages, before "xAI" made a free version of the service available last December.

However, xAI has faced previous challenges regarding user privacy, as a report revealed the leakage of private conversations due to the "sharing" feature in the chatbot, prompting the company to enhance its security measures.
Musk has pledged to make "Grok 3" open source by early 2026, reflecting xAI's commitment to continuing its collaborative approach. "Grok 3" is expected to bring significant performance improvements, which could enhance xAI's position in the competitive artificial intelligence market.
Musk also indicated that the "Grok 5" model, expected to be launched by the end of 2025, could be a step towards achieving artificial general intelligence (AGI).
