كشفت مصادر «عكاظ» أن ملف تجديد عقد حارس نادي النصر نواف العقيدي شهد تطورات متسارعة خلال الفترة الماضية، بعدما عقدت الإدارة في الموسم الماضي اجتماعاً مع اللاعب لمناقشة تمديد عقده، الذي يتبقى منه موسم واحد.
ووفقاً للمصادر، اشترط العقيدي الحصول على 20 مليون ريال سنوياً بعقد يمتد لأربع سنوات، بإجمالي يصل إلى 80 مليون ريال، مقابل الموافقة على تجديد عقده والاستمرار مع الفريق.
وأضافت المصادر أن هذه المطالب المالية لم تحظَ بالموافقة، بعدما قوبلت بالرفض من المسؤولين البرتغاليين المشرفين على الملف، لتنتهي المفاوضات في ذلك الوقت دون التوصل إلى اتفاق بين الطرفين.
وأشارت المصادر إلى أن إدارة النصر أعادت فتح الملف خلال الأيام الماضية، وعقدت اجتماعاً جديداً مع الحارس في معسكر الفريق الخارجي، في محاولة للتوصل إلى أرضية مشتركة بشأن مستقبله مع النادي.
وبحسب المصادر، أبلغ العقيدي مسؤولي النادي بشكل واضح برغبته في الرحيل عقب نهاية عقده الحالي، وعدم الاستمرار مع النصر، مؤكداً أن قراره لا يرتبط بالمشاركة الأساسية، وأنه متمسك بخوض تجربة جديدة حتى في حال حصوله على ضمانات باللعب بشكل أساسي خلال الموسم القادم.
وختمت المصادر بأن إدارة النصر تدرس خلال الفترة القادمة جميع الخيارات المتاحة للتعامل مع الملف، سواء بمحاولة إقناع اللاعب بالعدول عن قراره واستئناف مفاوضات التجديد، أو اتخاذ القرار المناسب بما يحفظ مصالح النادي قبل دخول اللاعب الفترة الحرة، في ظل تمسك كل طرف بموقفه حتى الآن.

According to the sources, Al-Aqidi stipulated a salary of 20 million riyals annually for a contract extending over four years, totaling 80 million riyals, in exchange for agreeing to renew his contract and continue with the team.
The sources added that these financial demands were not approved, as they were rejected by the Portuguese officials overseeing the file, leading to the negotiations ending at that time without reaching an agreement between the two parties.
The sources indicated that Al-Nasr's management reopened the file in recent days and held a new meeting with the goalkeeper during the team's training camp abroad, in an attempt to reach a common ground regarding his future with the club.
According to the sources, Al-Aqidi clearly informed the club officials of his desire to leave at the end of his current contract and not continue with Al-Nasr, confirming that his decision is not related to being a regular starter, and that he is keen on experiencing a new opportunity even if he receives guarantees to play regularly in the upcoming season.
The sources concluded that Al-Nasr's management is considering all available options to handle the file in the coming period, whether by trying to convince the player to reconsider his decision and resume renewal negotiations, or by making the appropriate decision that protects the club's interests before the player enters the free agency period, as both parties remain steadfast in their positions so far.
