تُقام النسخة الثانية من بطولة السعودية للفورمولا 4 لموسم (2025)، عبر خمس جولات ضمن سلسلة السباقات أحادية المقعد للمبتدئين، والمعتمدة من الاتحاد الدولي للسيارات (FIA)، وتحت إشراف الاتحاد السعودي للسيارات والدراجات النارية، وذلك على حلبتي البحرين الدولية، وكورنيش جدة، بين شهري أكتوبر وديسمبر القادمين، في تأكيد لالتزام المملكة بتطوير قاعدة المواهب الناشئة في رياضة المحركات، وتعزيز حضورها على الساحة الدولية.
وتُعد بطولة السعودية للفورمولا 4، التي انطلقت عام (2024)، منصة إستراتيجية تهدف لدعم وتطوير ورعاية الجيل القادم من المواهب السعودية والدولية في عالم رياضة المحركات، إذ من المقرر أن يشارك في البطولة (20) سائقًا يتنافسون على متن سيارة موحدة من طراز تاتوس أبارث F4 G2 (T421)، لضمان تكافؤ الفرص، والتركيز الكامل على مهارات القيادة والموهبة الفردية، ما يجعل الأداء على الحلبة انعكاسًا حقيقيًا لقدرات السائقين، بعيدًا عن أفضلية المعدات أو الفرق.
وتُعد بطولة السعودية للفورمولا 4، أول بطولة وطنية للسيارات أحادية المقعد معتمدة من الاتحاد الدولي للسيارات (FIA)، إذ توفر نقطة انطلاق احترافية ومناسبة للسائقين الشباب من سن (15) عامًا فما فوق، مع مسار تطوير واضح يتيح لهم التقدم نحو بطولة الفورمولا 3 وما بعدها، ولا يقتصر تأثير البطولة على الحلبة فقط، بل يتجاوز ذلك ليشمل تقديم فرص مهنية متنوعة للشباب السعودي في مجالات الهندسة والميكانيكا وإدارة السباقات، مساهمةً بذلك في بناء منظومة متكاملة لرياضة المحركات داخل المملكة.
وأكد الرئيس التنفيذي المكلف للاتحاد السعودي للسيارات والدراجات النارية، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة رياضة المحركات السعودية المهندس منصور المقبل، أن عودة الفورمولا 4 هذا العام تجسّد امتدادًا لجهود الاتحاد في دعم وتطوير رياضة المحركات وتعزيز مكانتها على الساحتين المحلية والإقليمية، كما تعد منصة إستراتيجية لتمكين الشباب السعودي من دخول هذا القطاع الحيوي ومنحهم الفرصة لصقل مهاراتهم ليصبحوا سائقي المستقبل، مؤكدًا أن التزام الاتحاد بتطبيق أعلى معايير الأمن والسلامة، بما يعكس حرص المملكة على أن تكون نموذجًا يحتذى به إقليميًا ودوليًا في مجال رياضة المحركات.
وتنطلق بطولة السعودية للفورمولا 4 لعام 2025 من حلبة البحرين الدولية (تشمل يومًا للاختبارات في 10 أكتوبر)، وذلك في الفترة من (10 إلى 12) أكتوبر، ثم تعود مجددًا إلى حلبة البحرين الدولية في (15 - 16) أكتوبر، قبل أن تستضيف حلبة كورنيش جدة ثلاث جولات متتالية أيام (10 - 11) نوفمبر، و(14 - 15) نوفمبر، لتُختتم البطولة في (5 - 6) ديسمبر.
وتُعد الفورمولا 4 الخطوة الرسمية الأولى على سُلّم سباقات السيارات أحادية المقعد، وقد ساهمت في صقل وتخريج مجموعة من أبرز نجوم رياضة المحركات الذين بلغوا أعلى المستويات العالمية، من بينهم لاندو نوريس، وجورج راسل، وشارل لوكلير، وأوسكار بياستري.
