وقّعت إدارة نادي الشباب عقداً احترافياً مع اللاعب الإنجليزي جوش براونهيل، بحضور رئيس مجلس الإدارة المكلف خليف الهويشان والمدير التنفيذي لكرة القدم الدكتور محمد الناصر.
يُذكر أن جوش براونهيل (29 عاماً)، يلعب في جميع مراكز العمق في وسط الملعب، ومن خريجي أكاديمية مانشستر يونايتد، ولكنه رحل في عمر 19 عاماً منضماً إلى بيرستون في 2012 ليبدأ مسيرته الاحترافية الحقيقية، وفي يناير 2016 أُعير إلى بارنزلي، وبعد نهاية الإعارة انتقل إلى بريستول سيتي في يونيو 2016 وعاش فترة مهمة في مسيرته، وانتقل في يناير 2020 إلى بيرنلي.
ويُعد الموسم الماضي 2024ـ2025 الأبرز في مسيرة جوش براونهيل على الإطلاق، إذ سجَّل 18 هدفاً في 42 مباراة، كما نال جائزة لاعب الشهر بدوري الدرجة الأولى الإنجليزي في أبريل 2025.

The management of Al-Shabab Club has signed a professional contract with English player Josh Brownhill, in the presence of the acting chairman Khalif Al-Huwaishan and the executive director of football Dr. Mohammed Al-Nasser.
It is worth mentioning that Josh Brownhill (29 years old) plays in all central positions in midfield and is a graduate of the Manchester United Academy. However, he left at the age of 19 to join Preston in 2012 to begin his true professional career. In January 2016, he was loaned to Barnsley, and after the loan ended, he moved to Bristol City in June 2016, where he experienced an important period in his career, and in January 2020, he transferred to Burnley.
The last season 2024-2025 was the most prominent in Josh Brownhill's career, as he scored 18 goals in 42 matches and won the Player of the Month award in the English Championship in April 2025.
