The head coach of the youth team, "Emmanuel Al-Ghuwasil," confirmed that his ambitions with "the Lions" this season are not limited to mere participation, but rather competing for various championships. He pointed out that his project with the club relies on leveraging the team's rich history and developing the available talents, despite the extensive changes that have affected the lineup in the past period.
Al-Ghuwasil said during the press conference held at the club's headquarters: "I know that Al-Shabab is a big club with a glorious history, but we have made significant changes at the team level, and we will enter the first round of the league with the team not yet complete. My goal after the players are complete is to build a competitive team capable of fighting for all championships, and the most important thing for me is to bring out all the potential that the players have." Regarding the level of competition in the Roshen Saudi League, the Spanish coach clarified that the league is witnessing a qualitative leap thanks to the presence of global stars, saying: "The Saudi league includes four clubs at a high level (the box clubs), and they can compete at the European level in terms of quality and capabilities, and this makes the challenge greater and increases our enthusiasm to work."
Regarding the continuity of goalkeeper Bouchan and striker Carlos Junior, Al-Ghuwasil emphasized their importance in the current group, saying: "Bouchan and Carlos Junior are part of the team, and we are not yet complete, but I am satisfied with all the new players who have joined, and I trust they will be an important addition." As for the ongoing controversy regarding Moroccan striker Abderrazak Hamdallah after his loan to Al-Hilal, Al-Ghuwasil settled the matter by stating: "Hamdallah is officially registered in the team's roster, and his loan to Al-Hilal has ended, so he is ready to participate legally with the team." The Spanish coach did not hide his great interest in working with the youth categories, considering them a fundamental pillar in his technical project: "Certainly, this is always our idea; working with youth categories to develop players, and I enjoy working with young talents because they have great energy and enthusiasm. But in the end, we also rely on the player's own effort, and the first round will witness the participation of several youth players who have been with us since the beginning of the camp and have played friendly matches." Al-Ghuwasil concluded his remarks by emphasizing that the return of Al-Shabab to serious competition requires time and harmony among the elements, saying: "It will not be easy, but we have the tools and ambition, and with the team complete, we will strive to meet the aspirations of Al-Shabab fans and compete on all fronts."
