أعلن نادي باترو البلجيكي التعاقد مع اللاعب السعودي محمد الرشيدي، قادماً من نادي بانسيرايكوس اليوناني.
وكان محمد الرشيدي أول لاعب سعودي في التاريخ يلعب بشكل أساسي في الدوري اليوناني الممتاز عندما كان لاعباً لنادي بانسيرايكوس اليوناني. وبدأ محمد من ناشئي أحد، وانتقل إلى برنامج «صقور المستقبل»، ثم خاض تجارب في التشيك مع سلافيا براغ B، وبعدها لليونان مع باوك B ونادي كافالا، ثم وقع عقداً احترافياً مع نادي بانسيرايكوس اليوناني، لينتقل إلى باترو البلجيكي. ولعب محمد الرشيدي 16 مباراة في قارة أوروبا سجل خلالها 4 أهداف حتى الآن في مسيرته.
وعلق مدرب باترو البلجيكي، ستين ستينن، على الصفقة قائلاً: «محمد لاعب يمكننا دمجه في كرة القدم الأوروبية، نرى فيه العديد من المهارات وبعض النقاط التي تحتاج للتحسين، ونحن واثقون أن أسلوبنا في التدريب سيطوره بشكل كبير».

The Belgian club Patro has announced the signing of Saudi player Mohammed Al-Rashidi, coming from the Greek club Panserraikos.
Mohammed Al-Rashidi was the first Saudi player in history to play regularly in the Greek Super League when he was with Panserraikos. He started with the youth team of Ohod, then moved to the "Falcons of the Future" program, and later had experiences in the Czech Republic with Slavia Prague B, followed by Greece with PAOK B and Kavala, before signing a professional contract with Panserraikos, and now transferring to Patro in Belgium. Mohammed Al-Rashidi has played 16 matches in Europe, scoring 4 goals so far in his career.
Patro's coach, Stijn Stijnen, commented on the deal, saying: "Mohammed is a player we can integrate into European football; we see many skills in him and some areas that need improvement, and we are confident that our training style will develop him significantly."
