The former honorary member of Al-Nassr Club, Prince Abdulhakim bin Musaad, opened fire on the administrative and technical reality of the club, pointing out that the new season does not promise any fundamental change and may even be worse than the previous one, given the continuation of the same mentality that manages the scene behind the changing faces.
In a series of striking tweets, Prince Abdulhakim expressed his disappointment on his official account regarding the lack of response to the fans' call for real reforms within the administrative depth, confirming that those who control the scene are smarter and more cunning than to allow any change that affects their position or influence, as he put it. He said: "It seems like a season similar to the one before it or worse. I was hopeful for a fundamental change in response to the audible voice of the fans, but they are smarter and more cunning and will not allow that. Tools will go and new tools will come, but the engine remains the same."
Prince Abdulhakim criticized the neglect of the Saudi project associated with Cristiano Ronaldo, describing what is happening as a deliberate draining of the elements of success around the Portuguese star, pointing out that some were upset by Ronaldo's arrival at Al-Nassr, not for technical or financial reasons, but because his presence shook the internal centers of influence. He added: "It's natural for them to be upset that Ronaldo came to Al-Nassr, but it's not normal to neglect a Saudi project for the sake of inclinations... They drained everything around him to make him fail." In response to the criticisms directed at Cristiano for allegedly controlling the technical and administrative aspects, the prince clarified that this would not have happened if there had been a qualified administration that left a significant void. He said: "If there had been a competent administration in the past two years to provide the needs, he wouldn't have controlled. It's natural for him to want to succeed after the shocks he has seen; no one can resist him. We know it's a year to forget, and he might succeed."
Despite the sharp criticism, Prince Abdulhakim kept the door open for hope, calling for immediate action for the upcoming season, affirming that reform is possible provided that powers are redistributed and decision-making is freed from the grip of appeasements and factions. He said: "There is still hope for reform, but for the upcoming season, change and work on it must start now... The key word is powers." The prince concluded his remarks with an emotional message to Al-Nassr fans, saying: "May God bring happiness to every lover of the club and grant them what pleases them."
