أعلن نادي مرسيليا الفرنسي أمس، إنهاء تعاقده مع مدرب الفريق السنغالي حبيب بي، بعد 6 أشهر فقط من توليه المسؤولية الفنية للفريق الأول لكرة القدم.
وأوضح النادي في بيان نشره عبر حساباته الرسمية، أن قرار إنهاء التعاقد جاء باتفاق الطرفين، مشيراً إلى أن نتائج الفريق خلال الموسم الماضي لم ترتقِ إلى طموحات النادي، بعدما أنهى منافسات الدوري الفرنسي في المركز الخامس، ليخفق في تحقيق هدفه المتمثل في التأهل إلى دوري أبطال أوروبا.
ويأتي رحيل المدرب في وقت يواجه مرسيليا قيوداً مالية فرضتها الرابطة الفرنسية للرقابة المالية منذ الأسبوع الماضي، تتعلق بالأجور وتعويضات انتقالات اللاعبين، في إجراءات سبق أن تعرض لها النادي خلال صيف 2021 وشتاء 2023.
ومن المقرر أن يستهل مرسيليا مشواره في موسم 2026 - 2027 بمواجهة ستراسبورغ في 22 أغسطس القادم، ضمن منافسات الجولة الأولى من الدوري الفرنسي لكرة القدم.
French club Marseille announced yesterday that it has terminated its contract with Senegalese coach Habib Beye, just 6 months after he took over the technical responsibility for the first football team.
The club clarified in a statement published through its official accounts that the decision to end the contract was made by mutual agreement, noting that the team's results during the last season did not meet the club's ambitions, as they finished the French league in fifth place, failing to achieve their goal of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League.
The coach's departure comes at a time when Marseille is facing financial constraints imposed by the French financial oversight body since last week, related to player wages and transfer compensation, in measures that the club had previously encountered during the summer of 2021 and winter of 2023.
Marseille is set to kick off its journey in the 2026 - 2027 season with a match against Strasbourg on August 22, as part of the first round of the French football league.
