أكد مدرب المنتخب القطري، الإسباني جولين لوبيتيغي، أن تأهل منتخب قطر لنهائيات كأس العالم، كان بالجهد ولم يكن هدية، مضيفاً سنستمتع بالمنافسة بشكل جاد وقوي لأن جميع اللاعبين يقدمون أفضل مالديهم، ولديهم حماس المنافسة وشغف المشاركة.
وقال:«في السابق كان لدينا حلم كبير ونجحنا في تحقيقه وعلينا أن نجعل هذا الحلم، تحدٍ كبير»، وأضاف:«هدفي الأساسي هو جعل الجماهير فخورة بما يقدمه المنتخب»، مشدداً على أن قوة «العنابي» لا تكمن في لاعب واحد بل في العمل الجماعي، معرباً عن سعادته الكبيرة وفخره بنجاح الفريق في التأهل التاريخي لنهائيات كأس العالم عبر التصفيات.
ورفض لوبيتيغي التركيز على النجوم الفرديين، مؤكداً أن العمل بروح الفريق والقتال كمجموعة هما سلاح قطر لمواجهة الخصوم الأقوياء في البطولة.
وأبدى فخره واعتزازه بحجز المنتخب القطري لمقعده في البطولة، وهو التأهل الأول الذي يتحقق عبر التصفيات (بعد المشاركة السابقة كمستضيف في عام ( 2022)، فيما راهن على عناصر الخبرة في قائمته النهائية المختارة لخوض غمار النهائيات.

He added: "My main goal is to make the fans proud of what the team presents," emphasizing that the strength of "Al Annabi" lies not in one player but in teamwork, expressing his great happiness and pride in the team's historic qualification for the World Cup through the qualifiers.
Lopetegui refused to focus on individual stars, affirming that working with team spirit and fighting as a group is Qatar's weapon to face strong opponents in the tournament.
He expressed his pride and honor in the Qatari national team securing its place in the tournament, marking the first qualification achieved through the qualifiers (after the previous participation as hosts in 2022), while betting on the experienced players in his final selected squad to face the finals.
