قاد كريم بنزيما فريقه الاتحاد إلى الدور نصف النهائي من مسابقة كأس خادم الحرمين الشريفين، بعد تسجيله «هاتريك» في مرمى الشباب خلال اللقاء الذي جمعها على ملعب مدينة الأمير عبدالله الفيصل، وانتهى اتحادياً بنتيجة 4-1، ليواصل الاتحاد حملة الدفاع عن لقبه الذي حققه العام الماضي.
