شهدت تدريبات الفريق الأول لكرة القدم بنادي ليفربول الإنجليزي، أمس (الأربعاء)، الظهور الأول للاعب المصري الشاب كريم أحمد.
وجاء تصعيد كريم أحمد إلى تدريبات الفريق الأول في ظل غياب عدد من نجوم الفريق بسبب مشاركتهم مع منتخبات بلادهم خلال فترة التوقف الدولي، وفي مقدمتهم النجم المصري محمد صلاح.
وكان ليفربول قد أعلن في يوليو الماضي عن توقيع عقد احترافي مع كريم أحمد، ليصبح ثاني لاعب مصري يرتدي قميص «الريدز»، بعد قائد منتخب مصر ونجم الفريق محمد صلاح، الذي يُعد أحد أبرز الهدافين في تاريخ النادي.
ويبلغ كريم أحمد من العمر 18 عاماً، وقد انضم إلى أكاديمية ليفربول منذ أن كان في السادسة، حيث لفت الأنظار سريعاً بفضل موهبته اللافتة.
وفي أول مشاركة له مع فريق تحت 18 عاماً في ديسمبر 2022، سجل هدفاً خلال مباراة في كأس الاتحاد الإنجليزي للشباب أمام بورنموث.
وواصل لاعب الوسط المصري الشاب تألقه في الموسم الماضي، مسجلاً 7 أهداف و5 تمريرات حاسمة مع فريق تحت 18 عاماً، كما شارك في دوري أبطال أوروبا للشباب أمام فريقي بولونيا ولايبزيغ.
The first team training session of Liverpool FC witnessed the debut of young Egyptian player Karim Ahmed yesterday (Wednesday).
Karim Ahmed's promotion to the first team training came in light of the absence of several star players due to their participation with their national teams during the international break, most notably Egyptian star Mohamed Salah.
Liverpool announced last July that they had signed a professional contract with Karim Ahmed, making him the second Egyptian player to wear the "Reds" jersey, after the captain of the Egyptian national team and star player Mohamed Salah, who is considered one of the top scorers in the club's history.
Karim Ahmed is 18 years old and joined Liverpool's academy when he was six, quickly drawing attention due to his remarkable talent.
In his first appearance with the under-18 team in December 2022, he scored a goal during a match in the FA Youth Cup against Bournemouth.
The young Egyptian midfielder continued to shine last season, scoring 7 goals and providing 5 assists with the under-18 team, and he also participated in the UEFA Youth League against Bologna and Leipzig.
